Beautiful looking game, and super chill too! It's really cozy building the map up piece by piece : )

Developer

Thanks for playing :D

The art style is beautiful! A really chill game that makes you take your time and measure correctly. Very nice atmosphere. Great game!

Nice and extremely beautiful game, making the player be a dog was a really nice touch, I loved it, great work!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Pretty cool idea, calm and relaxing gameplay, charming art style and good ambience. 😊👏 One minor bug I encountered - I only heared the steps sound when I had compass in my hand. 🧭 Here’s my score: image.png

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. Actually it's not a bug, the dog just focuses more and hears footsteps better when he has the compass out :D

So cute! Great concept, I actually made the map! I was confused after I finished the map but when I noticed the X my tail started wagging and I knew what I had to do! I only got 16 points >.<

Developer

Thanks for playing! We messed up a little scoring system and difficulty level so your score with a properly working scoring system would be really great :D

Awesome!

I'd love to play this game on a larger scale! *furious mouse wheel roll sound*

Thanks for playing!

We're really flattered by all the kind words people are leaving in the comments and we're seriously considering polishing this up into an actual full game. Stay tuned!

Wow, I really enjoyed walking along, counting paws, and stitching the map together. What an utterly unique puzzle! My proudest achievement is finding the right orientation of the tree (I stared at it from many angles).

However, all my positions were wrong and I only scored 19/48 )':
This doggo has to go back to cardography school... bau bau... (I restarted, immediately retried and got 25/48!)

I truly love this concept you've nailed, and walking around Furrtune Island like a true dog explorer charting the unknown. Can't wait for the sailing via sextant and the stars DLC!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the detailed feedback, happy to hear you enjoyed the game and didn't get discouraged  by the harsh scoring (we messed that up pretty bad)!

Now we were talking about letting our dawg pawrate explore the seven seas but the sextant and the stars didn't cross our minds. Great idea!

Such a lovely cool idea and it was well done within the time limit, well done! It was a strangely calming game to play but really enjoyable!

Really neat idea, I actually felt like a pirate! The gameplay is great, even though it's very challenging to place every piece perfectly on the map. My favorite part is counting steps while using the compass, such a clever feature!

That was clever! The mechanics feel good to use, and the aesthetic and ambience is chill; it reminds me a lot of Obra Dinn. I could not beat it, but I got close a couple of times! Great work!

Thanks for kind words!

The style and the concept are absolutely cool as hell. I'd like for the rocks to have a bit better detail so I could more easily how to orient them, but I really enjoyed this entry!

Thanks for playing and your feedback!

Pretty interesting and fun. My partner who enjoys these sort of games really loved it!

Developer

Thanks!

This game reminds me of the pirate part in Sly Cooper 3 (I think, not sure) The visuals were great and the controls too. My only issue was that even I think i have the placement and scale right, it says its wrong on the summary. But overall, really good!
I would really appreciate it if you checked out my game :)

Thanks for playing!

I love this game!  Super fun concept and execution, big fan of the pun.  I thought counting the steps with the sound was super neat and it has a great artstyle!

This game is a little difficult, but an outstanding showing for a jam!  Would love to try it again if it gets expanded or some difficulty tweaking.  Outstanding job!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoy it. We plan to make some adjustments and improvements after the jam, so stay tuned.

So great art ( is that a dog pirat in the title cover? )

the gif makes me think the viewfield is bad but it's totally normal in the game.

gameplay reminds me of Firewatch but the art, in my view, much better ( I really dont like that half realistic style and the invisible block in that game lol )

( Am I a dog? Why can I use my both hands )

This can be expanded into a full game right now. I guess it needs a story more clear to establish the ambience and minigames to relax, just in my view : )

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yes, you're the dog and yes, the dog is also in the title cover :D Why the dog can use both of his paws? Because it's a pirate dog :D

So rational. You are a philosopher : D
