Love the concept! I’ve always loved the scale of the universe webpage and I love how you managed to turn it into a fully functional and fun game! The game is delightfully well balanced for a jam game. Well done!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh wow this truly is a Llamageddon. There is no escape to what the Llama can accomplish. Even out here in space.
Really liked the game with multiple scale. Well tought!
Thanks!
Wow, that is so cool. I really liked the idea here. Great job! :D
Thanks!!
That game deserves to be the winner... WOW
Wow! Thank you so much for the kind words!
This game is so cool. I was amazed when I zoomed out that there a planet and galaxy level as well. It wasn't for a couple more runs that I realized you could also zoom in on the llama for two more levels, now it makes sense why I was dying. There's a lot to balance here, but I feel like you did a really great job making it hectic but not too overwhelming. Rotating the planet to take care of the wolves is really satisfying, and I love the glitchy effects with the black hole!
I think the only thing that could make this game a little bit better is a bit more of an in game tutorial, but that takes a good amount of time when time is already limited. Amazing job!
Thank you so much for the review! We definitely wanted to add a full in-game tutorial, but like you said, time was limited. Hopefully the in-game instructional animations were at least somewhat helpful! We spent a lot of time trying to balance the levels and toe the line of overwhelming vs challenging. Thanks for playing!
Yo wtf! So many different mechanics in one! This is so creative! Actually crazy, very impressive.
Thanks so much!
Wow that was one of the best game so far!
I love the idea, the mechanics, the difficulty (I got up to 2910 if I remember correctly). Everything is well executed and really fun to play.
The only nitpicks I could find are that meteors don't give you any warning when you're zoomed in, making them really hard to avoid and the music can get repetitive after a while (but it's not game that you'll play for a long time anyway so it's not that bad).
In any case, I had a really fun time, congrats!
Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback. We definitely want to improve it after the jam.
I love the take on the theme, one of the best and most original IMO. Art is good, great 16bit feel, also audio is cohesive with the art style. Great idea and fun game. I hope it gets featured because the concept is so interesting to me.
edit: Forgot to add that for some reason the itch.io app bugs out to me, not sure why, I had to download the game manually.
Thanks so much! Not sure what's wrong with the itch app, but glad you were able to play it! Thanks!
The first thing I remember is Spore. Great game
Thanks!
Very hectic feeling! So many things to manage at the same time. Really like the idea of managing issues at different scales. Plays very smoothly overall. Good work!
Thanks so much!
This game is insane. I'm fighting for my life in my bloodstream and suddenly my universe got eaten by a black hole. You deserve the "-mageddon" crown good sir. In fact, you win the theme altogether. Nothing tops this.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We can hardly accept the crown after playing your game!
Pretty solid game! The wolves start getting out of hand, but everything else felt fairly even on the difficulty scale. Would definitely pay $1 for this game if it were on Steam!
Thanks so much! We are thinking about putting it on Steam for sure!
Holy shit the scale is absolutely bananas lol. When I scrolled the mouse wheel and it went straight into the world I was blown away!
Couldn't get past 510 score because a black hole outta nowhere killed me lol!
That was fun, I like the graphics and wish there was a bit more of sounds.
Kudos on making something so crazy! Also, how do you even escape the black hole? When the screen got all wobbly I knew I was done for everytime.
Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback! It's not clear in the game (because we ran out of time before we could make a good tutorial), but there's 5 total levels you can move between. The black hole level is the furthest out and if you click on the galaxy, it'll push it further away from the black hole, keeping you alive longer!
What an incredible game! It’s chaotic but in the best way possible. The idea of juggling five different levels at once is super creative and unique. The pixel art is stunning and adds to the fun.
Thank you so much!
A beautiful idea, I find it a little frustrating when I die without knowing the reason why, but very fun nontheless
Thanks for the feedback! Sorry it wasn't explained well in the game. If you zoom in and out with the scroll wheel, you actually switch between different levels. There's 5 levels total and all of them are happening at the same time so anything can kill you, even if its not the level you're currently looking at.
Yeah I noticed that, but sometimes I was looking at the DNA level and I would die because of something on another level, it would be nice for example to automatically show the level where I died after it happens
fantastic game! I love your approach on the topic. Super nice pixel gaphics. Fun playing. I guess you might make it to the top 100! My vote will defintely help you you at least, you got full points for this work.
Thank you so much! We had a blast making it!
A very polished game 🎮 combining many the characteristics of many games. The art of the game took my ❤️. it's just amazing and I am seeing this game to be in the top 20.
I invite you to play my game as well.
It will be a pleasure.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Llamageddon is a wild ride! It’s an impressive mashup of five different minigames that you’re juggling all at once, and the chaos is just perfect for a game jam. The visual polish is top-notch—you can really see the effort that went into it. The sound effects are great too, adding to the frantic atmosphere. It’s a super chaotic experience, but in the best way possible. Great job on this one!
It would be really great to have global leaderboards on this one. Anyway, 100% going to the this year's bag of gems for me.
Wow! Thank you so much! There were three of us working together on this and this was our third year doing the GMTK game jam together. It really felt like we hit our stride on this one. We'd love to add a proper tutorial, high scores / leaderboards, and maybe even some more features to it in the future.
It was pure chaos HAHAHAHA. Some better visualization of what is happening across all scales woudl be great because this way the game was quite hard. But it was still fun to play.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback! We had plans to incorporate visual feedback for all the threats at every level (or at least most of them) as well as a tutorial, but ran out of time.
