Really fun, stylish clicker game! Digging the vibes, well done!
Very nice clicker game. I maxed out Earth and the rockets go everywhere like fireworks.
Well done! I'm not usually a fan of incremental games, but I found this one oddly engaging. I enjoyed the art of all the happy little planets, and the goal of expanding from one planet to another to another was fun, especially since you added ideas like having the sun block your expansion. I just wish I'd been able to reach those other solar systems (though I was able to get to the small one in the southwest). Overall, great job!
This is a fun game. really liked the art and sfx.
Planets, how it was executed here, are a truly inspired idea for an auto clicker. Good art style to boot. I have the same gripes with the scaling/grind as others. Being able to go around upgrading different planets is a fantastic solution to the problem of needing to sit and wait with auto clickers. Good job!
Big numbers with autoclickers always has been fun + it being planets. Perfection.
Nice idea! My game is also orbit-related, would be cool if you gave it a try :D
Wonderful cartoon style. Took a little while to get going but had a few rockets fire to move on to other planets.
Cool game!
I like the idea on this one, and it is honestly quite similar to a idle type of game I had thought of before, so I love to see that the idea actually works pretty well!
I like how progressing in this game works in an interesting way compared to other idle games, where there is a element of randomness with the rockets, but being able to share resources between your planets , and having the per second count be a sum of the planets is very cool. I like how effectively other planets wont be able to recieve as much help from others, just due to where they are positioned relatively.
Because of this, it would be cool to see how the planets move, and having certain windows be better moments to move resources to that planet, since they are so much closer and thus a higher chance to hit them.
I do think the beginning of the game is a bit grindy though, clicker games I think usually work well when the beginning is rather fast, and there are leaps in progression. I don't imagine ill get any huge leaps in progression past when I got to the first few planets.
Having other planets does open to the idea of having them have different behaviors, where maybe they have different upgrades that can help other ones, or have other different types of modifiers that make them harder to sustain. Maybe one that excels in sending out other rockets, but ultimately need a lot of resources (from a nearby planet) to get them going well. Transferring resources between planets in an optimal way would be a fun meta game to solve and figure out.
I do wish you could zoom out a bit more, since I didn't even know there was another solar system until I read some of the other reviews.
The art of this is absolutely adorable :)
Great work! I'll be playing it in the background now for the next few hours.
A very simple but well realized idea, lovely colorful graphics and some great music. I had a lot of fun playing it, well done and thanks to the team!
Incredible game jam game and an awesome auto-clicker. Art and Sound elevated the gameplay
One of my favourite games this Jam.
The art-style, menus, planets, music, and mood all really contribute to it. It's very stylistically cohesive, and very cozy. I loved it.
I'm very happy an autoclicker was included, I do wish it was applied to the menus as well, as I reached a point of population production where I was spam clicking menu options trying to keep up spending.
I'm also happy a toggle for the sound was included, as I got to a ludicrous rocket production, hundreds were being launched a second the sound was insane. It made me laugh very hard, but I had to turn it off after a few seconds.
The performance certainly tanked as well.
I do like the unfurling, bigger scale of the solar system, bigger number, faster cool-downs, more rockets, to the point of showing you other solar systems.
Sadly I never managed to get to the other solar systems (other than the one on the bottom right). The rockets never made it far enough.
I think what is intended is to build up a rocket launch engine on the closest planet to the solar system you want to go to (makes sense for orbital dynamics), but in gameplay it felt kind of bad that I invested so heavily onto a planet that can't get very far with it's rockets. The quantity of rocket is funny though. I was not really clear on what the rocket launch x meant, if the x was how many rockets were being fired, or distance. I'm guessing it was number of rockets fired as the distance never seemed to change.
The - clock person icon on farms confused me at first, as I read it as it removes a person every x seconds. But it turns out it reduces the cool-down of production. I did manage to get some production cool-down rates to silly amounts, where it was triggering every half second or less.
When I quit I had
Total 153,368.70 /s
The two highest planets
Chrisck - 58,650.00 /s
Rynus - 50,250.00 /s
I wanted to get to the other systems to see if they unlocked anything new, but when I discovered they didn't that's when I stopped. Especially since I was having performance issues with the thousands of rockets being launched, and most of my planets in the first solar system maxed out.
The only reason I thought there would be more unlocks is when you click on the suns they have the same menu as the planets, so I thought there would be a way to colonize them if I got to the further solar systems.
Either way I had a lovely time. Thank you for the great game, it's very inspiring with how well crafted it is.
Sound effects were great, and the smiley face on the planet following my mouse around did a lot for my enjoyment. The progression is way too slow; I really wanted to get to the part where other planets began getting involved but it would have taken like 10 minutes straight of just holding down left click, and there are a lot of other game jam games I want to go try! However I loved the art style and the music, and I understand that you were just following the pace of other games in this genre.
Nice clicker, cool ambiance
I really love the feel of this game! So adorable.
Reallly great feeling game.
I'm going ot keep plugging at this and updgrading everything. Lovely stuff.
Really fun, I got way too absorbed in this game. Still don't know how to get to the sun/other systems though
If you come back after the jam period, I'll be uploading a fixed/slightly more balanced version where it's easier / possible. It's a little unclear/uncertain even to me how possible it is in this version lol
Such a cute game! Love the smiley planets. Great job!
Nice cozy game and what I could expect from a clicker game!
Man I spent so much time on this LOL but really enjoyable game!! I'm a sucker for space themes and cozy games, and this was a wonderful combination of both! Love the art style (I really really love the happy faces of the planets following the cursor). I think the scaling of the game needs some balancing to keep me engaged with the other planets, but overall phenomenal game!! I really look forward to see if yall develop this any further :))
