This game gets all the points in creativity. Nice concept, and it's always great to see works of art as well. Great job
Very fun take on the theme. I loved the incorporation of the classic artworks. Maybe some sound would be nice. Overall great work!
The concept is simple and has a lot of potential. But I have to familiarize myself with the scaling rules.
Original idea , its a cool game! :D
My first run it would not validate the shape despite being correct but after a restart it was flawless, congratz on your first game on Godot!
It was nice! A bit hard to win for me, but the art is immediately recognizable even though it's super minimalistic. Good job!
I really liked the minimalistic art style! The first time I was playing it, I was stuck on the first art piece for awhile, it looked like the shape fits the ghost shape, but for some reason it wasn't registering. After I got through the first one the upcoming puzzles felt pretty easy. I also noticed some of the pieces would go back to the original size during the randomization phase, and I didn't have to touch them at all.
I really liked the minimal version of the last art piece, it's got complex shapes without feeling overwhelming. Congrats on your first Godot game!
Fun game! Loved the use of the art. The game could use more of a puzzle element (maybe a certain amount of scales) and/or a difficulty curve (maybe smaller size match zone). Btw are the paintings shape forms made procedurally?
This was really cool! Very unique gameplay. Great job!
Thanks so much for playing!
Fun game! I loved the scaling mechanic and it was nice to see the well-known paintings afterwards!
Thanks so much for playing! I'm glad you liked the well known paintings afterwards!
The game is kinda funny integrating real life art in the game. When need to fix the scale of the art. Congrats on using Godot for the first time. The game is nice for learning a new engine in 4 days.
Thanks for playing! Unity and Godot are more similar than I thought, so it wasn't too hard to learn fast. I recommend it for sure! I also love that we both did games around paintings :)
This game was pretty fun! I was very bad at it, so it took me awhile to beat but I enjoyed it, great job!
Thanks so much for playing! Definitely gets some getting used to, but as others have pointed out there are a few tricks to getting it right :)
I really liked the concept of your game. I would like to see more of this game and how it would progress. I think the simple art style fits the gameplay very well.
Thank you very much for playing! Glad you like the art style, it helped greatly to have the artwork to draw over.
Fun idea, small game, don't have much else to say. Congrats with first jam with Godot, hope your transition was good.
Thanks for playing! Godot has so far been kind to me which I appreciate.
I like the idea. And I love these minimalist versions of classic paintings.
As for gameplay, I feel there is not much challenge right now. It might be interesting to have each action be available only a limited number of times ? That way you could not just brute-force every shape into place.
Thanks for playing and the feedback! My initial approach to this game was having each ratio only be used once with many different multipliers and ratios in the scene, it would be interesting to develop that and compare it to this concept (where just like you said you can brute force the puzzles).
WARNING SPOILER ON HOW TO BEAT IT DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED IT YET! the solution to every shape is to just divide by three until it either fits or is too small, and if it's too small then times it by two until its too big then repeat.
Fun little game, I wish it was a bit longer. I like paintings, so I played my own mini game of guessing the paintings :)
Thanks for playing! I wanted guessing what the painting was to be part of the game, so I'm glad the intention got carried over correctly.
Very creative concept! Could do with some quality-of-life stuff like a reset button to reset the level back to the start (Undo would be awesome!). It would also be helpful to see a history of all the transformations I've applied to a shape.
Thanks for playing! Really appreciate the feedback and suggestions, an undo button would definitely be helpful.
Haha this is lovely! I wish I could see the actual art works have their components grown and shrunk. It would have been hilarious haha!
Simple, effective, creative!
Congrats on the switch from Godot! Been meaning to make the jump myself, nice to see it done!
Thanks so much for playing! It was surprisingly easy to switch to Godot actually, took a little getting used to (and definitely still have a lot to learn) but I think the benefits are very clear after using it.
Cool idea! Just needs more polish and a bit more difficulty, for example, the shapes could also get a random rotation.
Thanks for playing my game! That's a really good idea, I appreciate the feedback!
Anyway, it's an interesting experiment
but my triangle was almost perfect, but for some reason it didn't come together in the second picture.
Thanks for playing! Most likely a problem on my part, I tried to make the tolerance pretty loose while still having to get the correct scaling in the picture.
