nice game and idea!
Thanks for playing!
if you want play and rate our game 🙏!
Such a nice and fun hidden gem! The gameplay felt very nice and I had a lot of fun playing. The dialogue was also very entertaining! Died a lot, especially in the beginning - but that's just a skill issue on my part. Unfortunately I couldnt finish the last level, although it was very fun. The speed mechanic was my favorite part! It made the game very chaotic but in a good way!
Thank you for giving our game a chance and for sharing your feedback!
Nice level design. Comforting bgm. I enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for playing our game, it means a lot!
Love the goofiness of this game, enjoyed the puzzles really. Not too overwhelming not too simple. Well done!
Thank you so much! I just played your game too and really enjoyed the ramp up of your puzzles as well, so the respect is mutual!
Really great progression of mechanics! I was very surprised when the speed swapping was introduced. And I loved the intro dialogue, very cute and silly. Great work!
Thank you so much for the kind words! So glad the sense of silly humor came across, it was definitely the tone we were going for!
Really great twist on the scalable platformer with the swapping scales! I took a while to realise you could scale platforms, but after that I moved through puzzles pretty easily (despite dying a lot). I didn't entirely wrap my head around the maths of swapping the scale but managed experimenting my way through it anyway, and I found the speed mechanic really fun when I got to it. The final level was really exciting and probably my favourite level, though unfortunately I didn't finish it all (finally got past the first moving platform once and then realised there was more :'). The visuals also look really polished- great game, well done!
Thank you so much for playing, and for adding your detailed comment! We appreciate hearing all of your thoughts. I'm so glad you had a positive experience with the final level despite the sharp ramp in difficulty!
Nice mechanic for the theme, we use kind of same puzzles somethime!!! cool game!
Thanks, I also liked that we had some similar puzzles!!
This is awesome I love the idea!
Could you tell me how to do the first jump on level three though I think I'm dumb
Sure thing! That moment is designed to teach the player that they sometimes have to shoot the platform that they're standing on. So you shoot the crate first, taking it's size multiplier. Then you shoot your platform, giving it the size multiplier (it shoots out to the right). Then you push the crate to the right and jump upward and onward. Let me know if you try it again! Hope you are able to see more levels!
I don't think I ever really understood how the size/speed gun worked, but I had a great time clicking on everything and seeing what worked.
Yeah, we had a really tough time figuring out how to communicate that to the player. We animated circles shooting out between the gun and the target and added expository text a couple times mentioning "exchange", but what we really needed was a way for the player to see when an object actually had a size multiplier or a speed multiplier on it! Then you would know that "oh, if I shoot that I can exchange my current size multiplier for that one". As is, it's not clear to the player why some objects don't interact with the phaser.
Thanks for playing!
I really love how the legs bent while jumping! Really nice work :)
Thank you so much! It was one of the ways we tried to express the silly and wacky tone we were going for. =)
fun game! I had an idea similar to this at the beginning of the jam but i figured i didnt have enough time to implement and address potential bugs of resizing everything. Great job!
I think what you accomplished with your game was quite impressive for a solo dev. We only had time to implement these mechanics due to our team size of 5!
thanks i almost gave up, not gonna lie haha!
Great implementation! I love the walk animation!
Solid game and platformer.
Great job!
Thank you for playing our game and sharing your feedback!!
Love the concept and the tiny doc is adorable ! Maybe a detail but I found it really clever to have his thoughts displayed on the screen as the player progress, it's way less boring than to have to pass some dialogs !
Thank you so much! I thought your game was adorable, so that really means something coming from you!
Really cool puzzle mechanics. Platform changing size is quite big brain.
Thanks for playing! I was a big fan of your game, so your kind words mean a lot!
Really cool mechanics! The size and speed swaps made for some interesting puzzles.
Thank you so much, we had a lot of fun designing puzzles around them!
cool game.
Thank you for playing!
I loved the humor of the game, made me wanna keep playing to explore the character. Art was also cute!
Thank you so much, we had a lot of fun with the wacky humor. =)
Really neat concept. Character controls feel a bit clunky, and the puzzle at the start of level 3 has no good indicators as to what you're supposed to do. But there's definitely a lot of potential here, great job!
Thanks for playing our game! That puzzle is meant to introduce the player to the concept of needing to shoot the actual platforms they are standing on sometimes. We also made it one of the gifs on the game's page, just to highlight that core mechanic too. But thanks for your feedback!
