Integrating the dialogue with effects and code and character movements took so long T_T but it was all worth it! LMAO (Stayed up like 7 hours just to get the other half of the script in)

CSP fringe tool on mid-complexity objects to skip line art as much as possible; limit most flats to basecolor, hot fringe, and cool shadow; LASSO FILL IS AMAZING; painting over something is faster than ctrlZ-tryagain; trust your EXP cause there's no time to look up refs or get hung up on details (I'm pretty sure I made up a lot of the muscles; I don't remember anatomy); liquify things into proportions/perspective; and finally, having friends on call to keep you company as you all suffer the consequences of your own decisions together!

While I went into GMTK alone, I usually pilot a team of 10~20 for other projects. We all love suffering from our life choices :P

A really amazing game, beautifully done and very funny and creative! The only thing I had a problem with was that my high score for flappy bird wasn't saved to be used for the answers and that it was too easy to restart the mini game accidentally. During the last dialogue I got to 25 points but then accidentally clicked again before I could register that I had lost and it made the mini game restart thus making me lose my progress. It was quite frustrating (just like the original flappy bird was lol), but I still honestly love the game, gotta be my favorite so far!

Yeah that’s definitely the biggest irk of the game. We discussed fixing this but at the time we still needed to integrate the whole narrative in and by the time that was done we were getting pinched for time. Glad you still liked it though!

Well, this was unexpected.... Unexpectedly good! The concept is super clever and fun, the character design is amazing, and the ending really got me (although I should have expected it :D)!

Thank you so much for playing. The idea of having Flappy Bird be playable while dating and lock options came about from those videos that have both subway surfers and show clips to keep the person’s attention LMAO. Super proud of thar mechanic.

lmao yeah before i realized you have to use flappy bird to pick dialogue options i thought it was just a joke like those subway surfers tiktoks. this mechanic is like a cherry on top of an already incredible cake :)

I guess I didn't expect to see a dating sim in the jam. This is....a masterpiece. My partner, who adores dating sims said they would pay real dollars to have a full version on Steam with a full cast of romanceable characters. Great job! I sincerely hope Mark Brown puts this in his list to play. :)
