Yeah the early waves were given to let the player get used to the controls - especially if the player is not used to these kinds of games in general. Of course, it would not be the case for most of y'all gave devs!

I love the music! This feels like a fun undertale battle variant and I noticed the attacks are somewhat synced to the music or is it just me...? A good addition would be a health meter or an indication to how close you are from failing the level (I noticed the ingredients can take a few chops).

Love the idea! The turn table gimmick, and how the upgrades act as a double-edged sword is great. One minor problem is that when the enemies are being hunted, they ignore walls and escape the field...is that on purpose?

Creativr idea and really addicting. But the music doesn't fit the game in my opinion. Overall, nice game!

This is a very fun game! Like the chaotic aspect.

Love the bullet hell aspect! Also the snake AI is amazing.

An interesting idea, letting the enemies also be a source of light. I think making the enemies' projectiles also glow would also help!

Nice, the mechanics were very convincing, it looks like genuine bugs! Also love the sarcastic patch notes.

I looooove the art! I get the classic korean newspaper comic vibes from it.

10/10 wonderful game!

Did you know that you can make yourself with the sprite editor? Anyways I love this!

Who know losing could be this challenging...fun game! I would make the screen bigger (more zoomed-out) though.

There'a more than just rats! Also, you can block projectiles with your blade (but not the guy).

I love the combat animations! The combat is so smooth and satisfying.

Amazing presentation! I cant believe its 48 hours!

Love the smooth as heck camera movement, and the lights. I would recommend adding static backgrounds so you can actually tell it is the level that is moving and not you.

The spot light around the gun.

There are some bugs (like the W and S keys not working) and maybe more indicators (rooting out the last few people was painful) would be nice, but it is a solid game! Love the concept

Looks like we had the same idea (the weapons become the wielders)! Nice art and I love the slow motion gimmick. It would be better if the light was blocked by walls and enemies, though.

I love the graphic atmosphere and the shaders! The puzzles were cute and fun (as some already mentioned, there is sadly a bug but still enjoyable)

Thanks! I already added a focus/time slow ability you can charge up by hitting bullets with your sword (a.k.a. the real protagonist) which will be available post-jam!

Nice game and I love the gorilla boss. One nitpick is that you cannot press W and A together to move diagonally.

Nice game, I love the vibrant colors!

I love the humor here. Nice twist!

There is no cooldown, and the sword hitbox is intentionally small, but I did notice that the player hitbox was too large and fixed it post-submission. An indicator would be nice, surely. Thanks for the feedback!

I love puzzle games. I especially like the difficult puzzles, and the art!

I love the effects - honestly with the direction and execution, your game reminds me of mine in a good way (maybe great minds think alike?)

I love the aesthetics!

I am personally not a fan of horror games but this is great! Camera might need some polish though, but I fee you as cameras are really hard to get it to behave....

I love the humor of this one.

I love the puzzle aspect, nice!

now we need a simulator watching a NPC being simulated by this game...

I like to imagine a discord call/channel full of screaming.

While I went into GMTK alone, I usually pilot a team of 10~20 for other projects. We all love suffering from our life choices :P

....How the heck did you write and draw all this in 48 hours.

We just spent 48 hours making games. And you're telling us to do more?!

Jokes aside, I love how you turned it into a functioning puzzle game. Anyone can think of the idea - getting the gamer to code - but this execution nails it spot-on.

Nice puzzle. Maybe simple is indeed the best.

(1 edit)

The art...how? I swear yall have a time machine

Can't believe it was made in just 48 hours. Nice!
