Wonderful art!

My best score yet!

This was a genius idea. Quite the biggest plot twist I’ve ever seen, seeing the UI move instead of the well placed and animated robot. 😂

EDIT: sorry for the gargantuan image, thought it was smaller

EDIT2: fixed

EDIT3: did not fix so I removed it 🤣

for those wondering, it was this image: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/bd/61/d2/bd61d2b044987182d3383f3029cc66c2.jpg

Holy moly! That’s some World War Z gameplay right there

Surprisingly fun. I appreciate the upgrades aren’t just “+ damage” but full fledged weapons and specials.

I’m glad you liked it!

Thanks for playing! My friend started laughing so damn loud when he read “* unzips *” as a viable finisher. There are a lot of possible combinations (exactly 529 valid combinations, with 23 finishers). Two types of sentences (the ones asking for a substantive and the ones asking for an adjetive).

During the development I had the idea to not only to display all paintings made but also their respective insults. Due to time constraints the idea had to be scrapped.

Thanks! During the brainstorming phase, I almost decided to create a FridayNightFunkin-like gameplay for the artist. Since I already made a game with similar input, I switched to a Osu-like game. Ended up great.

I BURSTED into laughter after reading the kid’s counter “argument” for the insult “Maidenless”.

Great

This game taught me to give the deadliest quest for the novice, to keep the good ones alive. 👍

Interested to see how you’ve programmed this. My game is also about sentence deconstruction, but I had to simplify to only accepting either adjetives or substantives. I’m curious on how you managed to create such text analysis.

Edit: I’ve just read the walkthrough. Ok, it was simpler than I thought! Great job!

Simple presentation, complex interactions. Pressing Z to Undo reminded me of Baba Is You.

Great observation.

One thing i noticed is that you can’t switch paint with the 1, 2 and 3 keys, it think that would have been much more useful

My friends also said this to me. Although it would be easy to implement, I was directing my focus on final polishing such as the style meter and a strange performance problem. When I revisit the game in the near future, I will apply those changes.

THIS. This’s the feeling I was trying to convey to the player! I’m glad you liked it

Baixo intelecto coisa nenhuma. Foi eu quem não dedicou tempo pra fazer um tutorial adequado. Eu tinha minhas prioridades…

as prioridades: style meter > tutorial decente 🤣

Muitíssimo obrigado por jogarem! Em um futuro próximo, possivelmente entrarei em contato com vocês, trocaremos uma ideia. Parabéns aos dois pelo jogo de vocês também!

Essentially, the guy on the left is a art critic. Your goal, in practice, is to choose a word that properly fits into the “____” space of the sentence. Since the time to develop was so short, I only managed to categorize the words as “substantives” and “adjetives”. The word at key 1 is always a substantive, at key 2 always an adjetive. After gathering a big enough combo, press 3 to end with a finisher.

Thanks!

I find your comment to be considerably ____

  1. wholesome
  2. relatable
  3. End with: thanks for playing my game

O meu demônio da paralisia do sono.

“PIPE-CHAN” 🤣

Or maybe a chase sequence. The human chasing the tama.

Tamagotchi escape room? Amazing.

My first thought when I heard the theme was to make a game where you are the developer. Then me and my friend laughed, since we thought that weren’t possible to be a) made in time for the jam; and b) fun.

You’ve proven us wrong. Great job

Devs são brasileiros, upvote.

Por essa eu não esperava! O dev é br! Jogo ficou muito bonito

Well, there’s the highscore, but I kinda agree with you.

Agree 🐟👍

Yeah, the timing variation got me wasting some hearts lmao. Basically playing on the edge of the seat for that pixel perfect reaction.

It’s simple and also funny

simplesmente o maior

Just by reading the comments I think you should release a full game about this. Just saying

Subverted my expectations. Loved the intro, bullets ricocheting, blood sliding and the HUGE attack area. Great job

I share the same opinion. 2 bows, 1 sword. Got rich after 2 fights.

Clicked for Capibara, played because it was made in Godot.

What a big team! You guys had a great idea, and presented it well. Can this be called an “anti-stealth” game? Haha

Great observation! That was an idea, but I couldn’t figure it out how to code it properly, so I scrapped it.

I liked how you have drawn the sprites, but unfortunately the game presentation lacked clarity and feedback.

First I was like: ok. Then I noticed the bullets ricochet. A great trick - which I think you already know - is to find an enemy and let they chase while being close. That way I managed to always have the camera on myself.

Survived until wave 10 on first try.
