How does your game fit the theme?
Normally in a fantasy setting, the hero fights against a horde of enemies. In this game it's the reverse, in the way that you are the monsters, and you are playing multiple mob characters instead of just one protagonist.

The artwork here is fantastic! the gameplay mechanics took awhile to learn but the tutorial was a great addition for that, learning how to time parry and swap goblins eventually became natural to do.

some more depth could be explored with multiple levels and an upgrade system!

Wonderful art!

Absolutely incredible art! I love everything about this, the game loop is very fun and engaging, and the overall polish really ties it all together. Kudos, this game is really impressive!

Tutorial is really good, and impressive considering it was done in a 48 hour game jam. Because of that, learning the game was really simple as a player. The action gameplay is really fun (as usual!) - my only complaint in this regard is that there's little variety in challenges or increase in difficulty, but the game is short so that isn't a problem. Additionally, in terms of use of the theme, I feel like it could have somehow been executed on a gameplay level instead of thematically (though we basically did the same thing on our submission lol) Props to Xilurus on the art, I think this game will easily be one of the highest ranking in terms of presentation.

Overall, really really solid submission - very excited to see where this will rank! Good job :)

Cool game, good idea that was executed well, nice art, good job!

Nice game with gorgeous visual style.  A little bit difficult to get used to all the commands at the beginning. Anyway great job!

Though I have seen this theme concept a few time already, how you have implemented stands out among those I have tried, and I really like the gameplay you have done! The switch-parry mechanic is extremely fun, although I can't quite guess if I should parry when at the red or green part of the bar as I can't notice any differences. The known bugs, especially targeting the same goblin over and over, did kind of take away from the switch-parry mechanic quite a bit, but I can definitely see myself playing this on my own, like e.g. on my phone to kill time. Well done!

Thank you for the feedback! And yup! It's quite a bummer that THAT bug survived to the official build.

Also, we wanted to let the player know when they get the "perfect parry" with more particles. (It makes the stagger bar go up more.)

The artwork is fabulous :) I really like your idea! Expand it after the jam and post your progress!

Nice take on the theme, the movement feels smooth, but my reaction times are still too slow to react, haha! I love the art and animation, it's so slick! Well done! :D

Now that's a beautiful presentation! Good idea with great execution, good job team!

Gameplay wise, it gets a little repetitive once you get the hang of it, but hey for a 48h jam game that's really good!

yep this one takes the cake!

LOVE concept that you can switch to any character and the way you parry the attack.
Unfortunately, each character does not have much uniqueness and there is only one enemy.

10/10 for the very well-polished art, Definitely support this project later on!
