Pretty neat take on snake! I love the viking narrative. It makes victory very satisfying and epic, especially when the snake is defeated. The procedurally generated puzzles are quite interesting. You learn bit by bit how to trick the snake, and manage large groups of viking. The difficulty progression is really satisfying, although I had the impression I wasn't encountering much more challenge after level 10. Overall it was an enjoyable and satisfying puzzle game!

Nice work with the music. Also great concept and theme for a reverse snake game!
Really like the idea of using the nordic mythology with a reverse snake, adding more viking as an increase in difficulty. I think that was quite a clever spin on the game jam !
sick concept with awesome writing! interesting how the snake only moves when you do, i didn't realize that was the case until i stopped moving. overall great job!
Woah the game looks and sound so beautiful, the presentation is amazing. I also loved the idea of inverting classic snake's gameplay.
Congratulations, the game is great!
I like this one! To begin with, I thought the speed of the flute-playing matched the speed at which I was moving the vikings, but it was just a coincidence!
Reverse-snake with many clever twists. I loved how the Vikings moved simultaneously. The two different strategies for winning were also a brilliant touch. Plus, the music fit the game perfectly. Good job!
Yeah, you got me there. When I start a 48 hours jam, I aim for the smallest scope possible. Otherwise, I can't be sure to finish the game and not being able to submit a proper game would be a big, big, disappointment. So, yeah, I keep the scope small then I polish as far as time allows it.
Thanks for playing, I'm really glad to read your comment. And I'm glad you loved the flute !
Really cool idea, allows for a lot of interesting puzzles!
Cool game, managed to make it to level 19 before I gave up. Would be cool to see it expanded with more concepts/game mechanics as the game progresses. Nice work!
19 is really, really good, given that the best score at the moment is level 24 with 323 points.
If I decide to work a little more on the game, I'll keep you posted ! I'm not sure yet if I will add mechanics to it but it would certainly be a good idea. Problem is I have tons of good ideas and I can't do them all.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a comment, I'm happy you stayed until level 19. Bravo for that !
The music is excellent, and coming from making a music game on our team, I really appreciate it!
Maybe I've had too much practice moving things in Baba Is You, but I found it a little too easy to get the serpent stuck and just line all my vikings up for a big score. That being said, this is the best feeling thing in this game so really not a bad thing! I like feeling smart :)
Nice work!
To be totally honest, the music is pure improvisation. My teammate played a couple of minutes with different rhythms and styles, then we cut into the track to keep the best parts.
So, the game seems simple for you but have you reached level 20 ? Level 20 is when the game starts to be really difficult.
And yes, I added this win condition (serpent stuck) because I knew it would make people try and try and try to achieve it. There's even 10 bonus points when it works (but sometimes it is quicker to simply use the door).
Thanks for playing !!!
Thanks a lot ! I'm sure the teammate who played the flute will be very happy to read your comment.
I'm glad that you liked the visuals and the theme but I'm not the only dev that choose for a Viking theme. When rating other entries I found a tower defense game with Vikings. (which was very good, by the way).
Have a nice day !
I absolutely loved the flute, it made for really great tension as it picked up! I managed to get a score of 45 before stopping, but I can definitely see myself coming back to aim for a higher score. Great job!
Fabulous take on reverse-snake, it's extremely creative and I loooove your application of mythology 🧡 the flute playing was also fire as well, it really heightened the tension!
This game is so simple but so clever. Not gonna lie that was a bit stressful to have to control more than one warrior against the snake (but in a good, fun way). Great twist, congrats :D
This was quite interesting to play, took me a while to realise this was reverse snake lol but I had fun
This game is really enjoyable despite its simplicity. I never imagined that nordic mythology can be so easily implemented into snake. Also huge props for making it endless (I guess, maybe I didn't reach the end?), so gameplay difficulty will always reach at some point balance for wide range of players. Very creative game!😊 (I reached level 14)
Level 14 is really good ! Try to reach level 20 next game !
Yeah, I wasn't sure if making it endless was a good idea but, somehow, it works pretty well. Thanks for your feedback.
The northern mythology gives something a little deeper than simply a reversed Snake. I think every game developer should use some story around a game he's building. It helps for creativity and makes the game more immersive.
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving a comment. :)
