Really fun game, absoultely smashed my keyboard.
Love meta-games like this one, although I'm not sure if they only work in a jam review setting like we're in. The gameplay is a bit same-y. Wonder if the number of keys you press at the same time affects anything (of course, only typing with all five fingers randomly can give you that authentic jam feeling!).
Overall, was so fun to play! Well done!
Hilarious and relatable. I would have loved to see some other mechanics than just spamming buttons, but that's just my future carpal tunnel talking. This is such a great idea that I wish I had thought of it myself.
The moment I thought of making the jam for the jam, I knew it was the perfect idea! Thanks for checking it out! :)
Really original and funny, what a good game, amazing!
Thank you so much!
my fingers hurt
Me too
Hilarious take on the theme, I enjoyed this!
Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed this, I wish maybe there was some small minigame interactions that were unique between the different tasks but the concept is strong and I understand why you went with "mash on keyboard" for a one size fits all. Would be fun to scribble for art at least :)
But overall this is just extremely clever and feels great and everyone who plays can relate to the experience it's conveying. Loved the notepad text and code jokes as well.
I really do wish I managed to get in some other gameplay too, but I'm still happy with what I ended up with!
Thank you so much for playing!
Funny concept, wished I could have ordered some food and drinks in game though. In all seriousness this was a great entry!
Me too! I was sad to cut DoorCrash, but it just would have taken too much time to put in :(
I could already see in my mind the "You Passed Out from Hunger..." screen, but alas
Thanks for playing it! :)
Loved the concept! This was so original! Pleased to have played it.
Thank you so much for playing, I'm glad you liked it! :)
This game is all around great and really creative, the only suggestion I have is maybe add some sound effects or music in the background.
Music and sound is always something I forget until the last second when doing a jam!
I was thinking of quickly grabbing some old reliable Kevin Macleod, but in the end I decided that the natural ambience of your real life keyboard smashing was an interesting enough noise to fill the void!
(Next time I promise I'll block out some time for audio!)
Very original, fun and super enjoyable. Tho i think my fingers are gonna start bleeding soon from all this spamming :P
Thank you so much for playing! I should have made the player sign away my liability for any finger related damages LOL
Very original take on the reversed roles, the multi tasking really drives home the time limit and helps with the repetition, even if you're typing for everything.
I still want to go back just to see the end of your design doc. Good game, but my hands hurt now
Stress-by-multitasking, and making the player panic in the final stretch as time ran out and they realized they didn't do everything they needed to was my goal!
If I had more time I would have gone back and added more Easter eggs in the typed code and design, there was definitely room for even more there!
Thanks for playing and sorry about your hands! :)
Finally players get to experience our post-jam arthritis
Banger meta game btw
LOL that was my goal!
Thank you so much for playing!
Really creative idea you got there! Gameplay was a bit repetitive but overall it was kind of fun to play.
Thank you so much! That seems to be the concensus that its got repetitive gameplay, and I totally agree. Something for me to take into account next jam!
Thanks for playing!
i like the concept but I wish there was more to do than just typing
Thank you! Honestly me too, I was a bit stretched thin with this jam so I didn't manage to include other gameplay.
Thanks for checking it out!
I like the meta concept and the comments at the end ("Love the artstyle" repeated in each comment made me laugh). Might be even better with some other input methods in addition to typing on the keyboard.
I was worried about repetition with the comments at the end, but when I tested the feature and saw it happen I thought it was funny too, so I didn't add any filtering to make them not repeat!
Thank you for playing!
Game could be a little faster but other than that this is a very good game. Creative, good looking and fun.
I agree! I was considering adding buttons on the main menu for a quick or long game, but really the best solution would have been to block out more time to test and tune the game in the end :)
Thanks for playing!
Loved the idea, found the gameplay very repetitive tho due to just pressing keys.
That was my biggest worry once it all started coming together, but it was too late to build new gameplay so I just hoped that it wouldn't be too much of a negative!
Thanks for playing!
Wouldn't say it was a big negative at all the game was still really fun.
