I like that the hero character also gets their own upgrades between the levels. Enjoyable game.

Love the concept, had fun playing it really great :) - only thing that kinda messed with me was not being able to know the enemy-s hp bar at all times. Music n presentation bit stale but overall i really enjoyed the gameplay :)
Really fun game! It crashed on me during my first playthrough (not sure why), and the first time I played it, I was not sure how to select the enemies for the wave, had to spam click everything I see to figure it out. Otherwise, its a pretty fun game, and my favorite strategy is just sending as many purple triangles as I can to rush the player!
One cool thing that you can maybe explore if you ever want to expand on this game is swarms using flocking AI. This could allow for enemies with what looks like minions following them around, either protecting them, or helping to deal more damage as you run head first into them.
Simple idea with great execution. I really liked the idea powerups on certain enemy slots. I wish the arena was smaller to fit the camera, though.
Cool idea!
I like that there is a bit of variety and extra steps into making a wave. Having the extra things like number of units per module, as well as the bonus they will get if they are placed there are very fun to play around with. I find that most of the "you are the boss" games are fun when they let the player have a bunch of decisions to upgrade their arsenal and become super strong. I think there is a lot of room here to add more effects, and unit types.
There are also some issues that should be changed, like being able to keep watching the fight after you die. Or the issue of the game crashing when you touch the player with a shield (I'm guessing that was the cause)
I think that the shooting units were way stronger than the charging melee ones, since they can keep doing damage while the melee ones die after doing damage. So having a bit more balance on this could help, maybe melee units can keep attacking multiple times?
I would also be interesting for units to have some form of "value" that if they are killed gives the player money. So you wouldn't want to make your entire team the strongest unit, since the player will get a lot of value from clearing it out.
The visuals were nice a simple, but they worked very well.
Nice job!
I had plans for letting the player upgrade their own enemy units to counter the "player" so I may go back in the future to finish up the concept. I did find that bug with the shield, just didn't get time to fix it sadly. I'll explore the game further after the jam (most likely), so thank you for the feedback!
I liked the game and the minimalist aesthetic is a good fit!
I think the biggest room for improvement is in the realm of UX. You see the player leveling up after every wave, but there's no real way to keep track of what the players stats currently are. Ideally I would know which 'build' the player is going for and then have a choice to react to that via different unit prioritization.
So yeah! Promising concept, could do well with an additional design pass and some added units. :)
Game is great, love the concept. It did crash when I killed the player though.
Super polished looking game! I was pretty terrible at it admittedly, but it was fun :)
