I appreciate that you made the art and sound yourselves. I found myself really wishing I could attack back, though, as the level of strategy would have been greater.
Well done. Loved the twist, loved the characterizations. With some more options to escape and maybe some attacks, this could be a pretty engaging game for a long session! Great audio too, loved the tune.
Beautiful game with a very nice story! Haha! The the escape could have used some more variation than just evading. Still an impressive feat to create this including the art and music!
This was a lot of fun, the concept is very unique take on the theme, and although I wish there was more juice, for a 48 hour jam this is really good. I encountered a bug where I was on the same tile as a pawn, but neither of us captured each other and the game continued. Aside from that one instance everything ran as normal.
Loved the cutscene, super funny and set the stage well!
Nice puzzle concept, good story intro. Enjoyable for a few minutes of play.
Wake up honey, new chess lore just dropped 👀
That was a really unexpected premise and intro. I enjoyed that. Pawns could walk through you which was a bit weird, but the idea for the game is solid fun. Great idea and execution!
I like the work put into the introduction a lot!
Very fun and interesting mechanics! Glad I didn't really need to know how to play chess for this ahaha cause I'm a no brainer for chess, I enjoyed this very much!
Fun game! The intro was very funny. Maybe a different gamemode where you decide when the turns happen and get points based on how fast you make your decision could be interesting. Good job overall!
The intro was great, thought it was a tutorial at first, game play itself is alright, doesnt seem to be a strategy to it, that I have found. Good job.
Really creative and enjoyable game :D
I love the story introduction at the start. Not many game jams do that. I love it! The game was quite fun as well. I only lasted about 40 seconds at best.
Love the idea, and the game play is fun. I absolutely love the interactive cutscene before the gameplay. Great job!
This is a really unique idea. I loved the opening cutscene and the reveal of there being more board.
Great idea! I also loved the music :)
