This was a fun idea! I really enjoyed strategically arranging the units to protect the high valued units.

This is really well made! Generous enough to feel possible, but if you aren't careful you could easily lose!=. Good job on balancing that! With a bit of polish, this could be a great standalone game!
Some feedback below:

Great that I could see my score at the end, but I couldn't tell how good I was doing? For example, one time I beat a level with 1 person left and got 1000 points, on another level I had 8 people left and had 2400 points. I didn't know if these were good or bad numbers for the level I was on. I would recommend putting a 'grade' next to the score (eg. "S", "A", "B", etc) so that players know that they could try and be better at the game

Didn't seem like I was being rewarded for completing the level using fewer troops? If I was, I wasn't seeing it. it would be great if any left over money I didn't use carried over to the next level (as one possible solution), or it could just be bonus points at the end of the level!

I'm not sure, but it seemed like I was rewarded for spending as much money as possible and thereby letting more people survive thereby giving me more points, but the 'placement' phase of the game made it seem like i would be rewarded for strategy and that implies doing more with less.

Pretty nice one. This has a lot of potential. You should consider to polish and publish it 👍

I like the Serious Sam inspired kamikazes, and your cool rock and rooll! Your game put a smile on my face.

Super fun! There's some serious potential to turn this into a full game! Just needs a bit more polishing.

Amazing game! I never though my computer would handle it, and it just blew up in the last level.

I really liked the story with mystery man.

Loved it! Snipers/Meatshield was OP

I also really appreciated some fantastic game design choices with the big or small grid, the VIP levels and the scores at the end.

Well done!

Interesting concept that fits well with the theme. Good music and sound design.  Good job!

WHAT I LIKED:

- It was fun to just walk the troops around and see what would happen.

- The sound effects were hilarious.

- The premise of the game was simple and easy to get into.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:

- It seemed like there were a lot of features that didn't need to be there. The initial premise of making a formation and sending them to battle is fun enough. It seemed like all the other stuff just got in the way.

IN CONCLUSION:

- I didn't think I was going to enjoy this game at first but I was hooked on the first level. I think I would have preferred to just focus on the few core mechanics. Good job.

Hey, just wanted to say I really enjoyed this one! A couple things I noticed to consider:

- snipers were pretty overpowered
- it's not obvious that units have health bars (I discovered that with my mouse by accident)
- The unit/group can be so wide in the final level that you have to try to strafe/diagonally move through certain areas to fit in the terrain
