Very intuitive and simple.  The movement was a little too snappy for me - I completed a level in its entirety and then my move moved me into the lava before I actually jumped (I'm not great at platforming; the platforming elements that required timing felt a little out of place with the movement being the way it was).  But I did enjoy and play through all the puzzles.  Thanks for a fun game!  ^_^  Cheers.

Well, this is just a fantastic puzzle game. All well explained, fun to move, fun to win. I thought the presentation was fantastic. I'd love to see this expanded to a bigger game, with a little story about the scientist. Seriously, no notes on this one. Just great!

Got through to the end, and really enjoyed myself!

Loves:

  • Very clear what to do
  • Near perfect level design teaches main concepts well
  • Checkpoint in each room means you don't go back far if you mess up
  • Well presented!
  • I love a good laser puzzle, I don't think I've been a character inside one before! Points for originality there.
  • FUN!

Nitpicks:

  • Dislike how fast the character stops if you release the cursors in mid air. This might just be my preference, but if a platformer has no acceleration at all I find it way harder to control. The trick is just enough momentum to feel 'right'. Too little (like this), it feels snappy and imprecise, so I often run into things, or don't run far enough and fall in the lava. Too much feels unresponsive and floaty/slippery. It's a delicate balance!
  • Controls are a little unusual. Holding space to interact works (and allows for pulling boxes too) but isn't quite as immediately intuitive as the rest of the game.

Hi Matteo!

The learning curve is perfectly smooth and you introduce new mechanics seamlessly and intuitively. For example, I didn't need any clues that boxes could be pulled, because in the previous level you showed me they could be pushed, and in the next you gave me one that was impossible to push! So naturally I got pullin'! A true disciple of Mark Brown!

Thanks for sharing, good luck in the jam!

Good game. Honestly, I think you handled one of the best tutorials/pacings so far from what I saw in this game jam. Usually, almost everybody has problems communicating the core gameplay to the player, while here I never felt lost or bored. Nice work and good job with a solid entry. The only thing I want to add si that you could try to export the game for the web next time, downloading is quite tedious when you play 30+ games for jam.

Thanks for this feedback !

I wish I could export in web HTML but I don't have the GameMaker licence for it :')

I loved this puzzle game, is a good lesson on well designed controls.

The levels in themselves are good tutorials and arrived to logical conclusions with no penalty for failure besides a quick reload.

Nice polished game, loved it.

Simple idea executed perfectly :O The intuduction of new mechanics and ideas felt natural. The sprites cute and simple. My only problem is there arent any more levels :D

Overall simple yet fun well done :D

This game has really good level design and pacing. It shows the player what to do without using a single word. The player is then needed to explore these mechanics to get to the next level. It's very well polished and I really enjoyed playing it.

There seems to be a slight problem in the level with 2 lava pits. I was able to get through the level using only one reflector.

Great job on the game!

Oh ok I wasn't aware of this problem, let's say you speedrunned the game :p
