Well done! Interesting take on tetris

Developer

Thank you!

Really well executed, at it just hooked me :D Wish the game looked a bit more colorful but otherwise really great game!

Thank you! Skin variety is in my considerations for future updates.

Such a cool twist. The only thing I would say is that I could get some power up to remove mistakes I made so they don't build up so fast. Other than that, it was easy to understand and could be addicting. Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Adding power ups will certainly be in my consideration for making mistakes less punishing.

Really cool take on tetris that goes with the theme really well, I think because the edges of the screen don't count, it's very easy to end up with a bunch of dead blocks, would be awesome to introduce a mechanic to fix that, maybe if the connection wraps around the screen? Good job anyway!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! That's a great suggestion, I've never thought of it before. I'll make sure to note that down.

No problem! Glad that helps :D

What a nice twist to tetris, man! Well done!

The idea is really special. Making a long tube with a Tetris system is creative, but it was easy to mess up. A taller level could bake things interesting. The presentation is also really bland, no color is really detrimental. If you had color, you could color code each piece. Overall, pretty interesting, only needs amped up visuals.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing! Having a taller and wider level is definitely something I'll consider, that would give more space for players to maneuver. About the color scheme, I was leaning towards the classic black and white aesthetic which explains the lack of color, but I do agree even in grayscale different pipes could use different visuals to make them more unique. Being able to change skins similar to Tetris 99 is also something in my radar. All in all, really appreciate the feedback :)

I think this is my new favourite game! As a huge tetris fan this was awesome! With a bit of development this could be a really interesting full release! Hope you work on it further.

Developer

Thank you so much! It means a lot to me that you enjoy it :)

I love those games where you pick a game that already exists and give it a twist !

It has an interesting point to it, and it certainly is entertaining for a while. It clearly still has some design flaws to be addressed, mainly the fact that you can get unclosed chains of blocks that are impossible to get rid of, it can be quite unforgiving and when you encounter a situation like that you can start to lose the motivation to keep going.

Developer

Thanks for playing and feedback! There certainly are design flaws I intend to take a closer look at after the Jam.

I love the concept, and the execution is great (besides the stuck blocks issue mentioned in other comments). I struggle with standard tetris so this was quite a challenge; But it’s a good challenge!

Thank you!

Pretty addicting, nicely done

Really cool idea! Had lots of fun with this classic with a twist.

Developer

Thank you! Glad you had fun with it :)

very interesting idea, I'm quite surprised I've not seen this before... so simple it seems inevitable (congrats!)  Seems like the "forever stuck blocks" problem is the only prickly part.

Developer

Thank you! I'll look for a proper way to fix the problem after the Jam, let me know if you have any ideas.

Submitted

You should totally expand this! It's like tetris, but better (and harder) I could spend SOME (some = a lot) of time on this

Developer

Thank you! I will definitely flesh out the game after the Jam.

Great take on a Tetris game. I'm definitely going to play it again.

I liked it, it's just not my type of game. I like Tetris, but with these pipes, it gets a bit difficult.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah it's admittedly difficult so I understand where you're coming from.

Submitted

Really liked it, since I also did a version of Tetris for this Jam - I was curious how someone else could approach this classic Game.

Nice work.

Developer(+1)

Ooh another Tetris like game, I'll check it out when I can. Thanks for the kind words!

Fun game! Like the strong GB feel. I would have liked the side walls to count as a pipe ending though.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Interesting idea you have there, that'll certain make the game a bit more forgiving. I'll think about it.

Pretty neat idea! Good fun!
