Nice challenge. I wish there was a way for you to control the sound of the shooting space craft.

Wow this game is great! Super fun I definitely think you should make more levels, and polish it up a bunch (maybe soften the shooting sound and add some background music) This has tons of potential

Developer

thank you for playing my game! I appreciate the feedback.

Cool game! I agree with a few of the other comments: I like how this takes the "can't stop shooting" mechanic that we've seen before and turns it into a puzzle. Nice work!

Great idea, though I've seen Mark play a game with a similar mechanic. The gun gets really annoying after a while, though. There's also a bung in level 3 where the platform starts going right and doesn't come back.

Developer

oh, that is the first I've heard of that bug, I'll look into it. And who is Mark?

(+1)

Mark Brown? The guy behind Game Maker's Toolkit? The guy organising this jam?

Developer

OHHHHHH haha. Now I feel like a fool. I thought you were talking about like Markiplier or something.

Developer

Yeah, I've replicated the bug. Its intermittent, so It'll be hard to trace and track down, I had to reload the level 20 times, but you're right, I've got an issue :

Cool idea turning a shooter into a puzzle game. Although the visuals were not stunning, the targets and friendlies were well distinguished and the puzzles were pretty good! Unfortunately, your game also helped develop my appreciation of silence :P

Developer

yeah, that’s what most people say, haha. Would turning the volume down be enough?

Submitted

Perhaps... or making the sound a little softer would help

Hahah game was actually really fun i enjoyed the action puzzles. It felt like a part of me was missing when that bullet sound ended though :P

Developer

Yeah. I wonder what else I could have done. Silent gunshots weren’t good either. Do you think cutting the volume in half would be enough or is there something else I should have done?

Submitted

hmm i think maybe having multiple different "bullet" sounds and picking randomly between them might help the mental strain slightly lol, alternatively instead of the high pitched sound maybe a lower pitched "boom" could work.. like a canon shot.

Submitted

I have to agree with everyone else. The level design was great, but after the game ended, I still could hear the bullet sound in my head.. hahaha Still, I really liked the game!

Developer

Thanks! What about the level design do you like? Asking for a friend;)

Submitted(+1)

Mostly that, for such simple mechanic, the solutions of the different puzzles weren’t as obvious at first sight, and there wasn’t too much room to cheese them. Overall, well thought levels

Submitted

The levels are really well crafted but i have to say the sound was quite annoying. Nice game tho!

Developer

yeah, I added them in the last 20 minutes and didn't get to really get that down. Its definitely better than nothing, but the shooting sound is too much, I agree

Really fun idea, and good level design!

Developer

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback.

The concept is so strong, the puzzle element is very compelling! Excellent work!

Developer(+1)

thank you! I think the concept was good too, but I don't think it translated well into the game. I learned a lot from this project.
