Nice little game! I like how it's simplistic yet challenging. Well done!

I actually had a hard time getting it to look pixelated. Thanks for the comments and thanks for playing!

Simple and fun! Good job! also, an indicator showing when will the control change would be nice.

Good point! I'll think about that!! -Thanks!

Super fun and simple brain twister game.  It's like using your left had if you're right handed.  I felt like I was exercising my brain!  With some sound and game juice this could be a really fun a polished game!!  Keep working on it for sure.  Congrats on submitting a cool brain game to the jam! Please check out mine if you haven't :D

I just want to say, fantastic job on effectively scoping your game to get it done within the time. The game works perfectly and does everything it needs to be playable. Of course there's more you could add to improve the game, but now you have the basic working version to fall back on if you do decide to experiment with more features. Well done!

Thanks so much!!! I actually did spend just as much time brainstorming as I did coding the actual game. I try do avoid pitfalls in paper, before I get into a coding-road-block I can't get out of. In fact, it's really fun to see a well-written/scoped-out idea drafted in a piece a paper gain shape and actually reach a functional state on the screen! Fun stuff if you as me! Thanks for the comment.

I do not know if its allowed to drop my comment on another hehe, but it shows: your idea is solid and after reading the instructions, made sense. A lot of thought process went to this , and the execution is to the point.  I am really interested if you could share some more indepth strategies of your paper and pen drafting procedure. Thanks!

Really cool game and good fit for the theme! I would suggest adding obstacles to decrease score as well. Well done!!

Oh.... you're right!!!! Instead of adding another element of energy/life it could be as simple as decreasing the score!!! Great idea!!! I'm all for simplicity when it comes to game-mechanics!!!

Really simpel but effective concept. My score was 17.

Maybe add some fail state to give the player more motivation to beat their old score?

Developer

Oh... yeah... some sort of "highest score" label on the screen - like in Pacman!!! Good idea!

A nice concept, I quite like showing the score on the point you have to collect, its a very concise way of minimising UI elements! I feel like the game could use some kind of external pressure like a timer or being chased so that you can't just sit and look and what key you need one at a time. Really nice job with what's there so far though!

I actually thought of not entering the Game Jam this year - I've been putting it off for the past 2 years, but this year I got in (late) and did my best to get something functional. It's a good challenge and exercise; I hope next year I can be better prepared. I appreciate the feedback!

The theme in it's bare essentials. Very cool.

I was literally just trying to check all the boxes just to play fair an square. In my opinion I think the Game Jam could benefit from  a "rate option" of "does this game fit this year's theme?" -Thanks for noticing!!

simple, yet fun idea. Although, what might also be fun or at least more challenging would be to hide the controls from the player.

But that's just me, I like challenging games ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Developer

I do like the idea of making the game close to impossible to play! I'll see what I can do. -Thanks,

great idea!

It was a great challenge; I usually start with a great idea, but I find myself simplifying over and over again, and with 48 hours to work with, I simplified it a lot! -thanks for the comment!

Simple, fun idea. Would be improved with some nicer graphics

Cool game - it game me  a flashback to the 90's and the time before pop-up blockers.

Simple proof of concept, not too bad if this is your first game. Keep it up!

Developer

Will do! -Thanks
