How does your game fit the theme?
For the theme we leaned into the weather, as it is something universally out of your control, and a plant who is dependent on it. We also pushed the theme by having the player lose total control over the dog by introducing hazards like the Cat that lures your dog.

Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

Yes

We created all art during the game jam

Did your team create the audio for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

I love the art, the style, the music, the controls, and all of it! If I had any complaint it's that it was a little easy/repetitive. But it is a really fun and cool game play idea. But overall really well done. I love the dog and their plant! Great game!

While the art is extremely cute, the gameplay is rather limited and gets repetitive fast. Also I don't really feel that it met the "out of control" element very well.

Developer

Thank you for playing and the kind words! We would definitely like to expand and add more elements should we come back to the project!

The cat worked fine as a gravity leash in its current state, and the bees also worked well.

At first I was a little overwhelmed by all the rules, but the gameplay was super intuitive. Really fun!

If you have time, please check out the game I worked on for the Jam called "Foobar". Thanks!

Developer

Thank you for playing!! I've just played Foobar, I really like it! Great graphics, and neat concept. I only managed to save 10 people :(

This game looks incredible. The dancing, strapped-on flower just makes me smile. The animations, the "CAT!" messages, the music.. it's all so good.

Between days, the sun and water meters don't go back up, and because there are no water or sun sources for 5 seconds or so, I found that I need a buffer. This killed me my first play-through.

Developer

Thank you so much!! We loved making it :)
The meters not resetting is definitely something we'll address, thanks for the feedback!

Creating assets and animations and music must've taken a lot of time ;) I'm a fan of the interface - practical and pretty.

Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! Dan  really did an amazing job on all the art & animations!

That was really good! Very high quality looking gameplay and feel also not a bad idea for gameplay with a plant on a dogs back. Really enjoyed it, probably my favorite game so far

Developer

Hey thank you! That means a lot!

I personally can't download your game (I'm on a Mac) but my coding partner can.

We'll report back once he's had a go! :-)

All music was created during the Jam, as well as many sound effects.
Not all sound effects though, as stated in the games credits in the description!
