Really liked the concept. had fun playing and loved the art! Only thing i would change is maybe make the timer a little bit more clearer in the dream world as it kinda blurs together. All in all a great game!
Its an interesting concept! Kinda reminds me of Persona in some ways. The artwork and character design is really neat though, and I like the gameboy shader ramp effect!
Its not very clear what (PMQ) results in what effect in the dream world though. The platforming is kind of floaty and the character kind of drifts around (although that can be blamed on the PMQ result lol), gets caught on ceilings when jumping, etc, so it can use some work.
This idea is really cool! The idea of having conversations affect your abilities is something you'd usually see in some quirky JRPG, but I've never seen it applied to a platformer before.
The platforming gameplay felt really disconnected from the dialog gameplay. It feels like the dreams aren't really *about* anything in particular, so it's hard to really get immersed in the idea that you're even in a dream at all.
I think if this were fleshed out a bit with a cohesive storyline, it would allow the player to make more informed decisions about how to interact with each of the characters.
I like the artwork and style! You really nailed that "original gameboy game being played on a gameboy color" vibe lol. I really loved the little touches like the dialog background matching the character.
I love the characters <3
In the blue stage I jumped over the exit door and ended up falling forever ><
I thought that this was a really cool idea. And could be expanded upon loads. I would have liked to finish it, but I ended up falling forever when I fell in a hole. Overall, a great idea and Decent execution, especially in only 2 days.
This was an interesting idea, but the platforming section could have used more work. I ended up falling out of the level, and never respawning or anything, just falling forever.
In what level did this happen? Do you remember the color?
It was the last dream, right before the flag
(I'd also like to add: good job on the art for this game! I'll admit I only clicked on it because of the buff lizard on the cover image, lol)
the game randomizes the levels, so I make distinctions between leves based on color, so im curious if you remember!
I think it was red, I'm pretty sure
This is a fun idea that could be expanded upon. Had a lot of fun with this game : )
i liked the art styl a lot. and dialogue system is a good interpretation.
Cool concept!
The colours were quite cool and the dialogue rather funny :3
Thank you so much! Im glad you like it!
So quirky and original! Love the art style and the personality in the conversations. The platforming sections could be tighter but the concept was definitely there.
Thank you! Im glad you could enjoy it!
Nice art and clever idea, love they way you determine your controls.
Please run the game at a higher resolution on the web browser. I was unable to read the text the way it was intended and could not continue further.
I fixed the resolution issue! There is a new version in the description for it to be able to be read easier
The art in here is really nice! I think this was a very unique concept for the game jam. Not a lot of people have thought to make the controls themselves dependent on your actions that have uncontrollable consequences.
