Hi, nice viking game. the model are very good.

I found some small stuff if you like some feedback:

- i didn't see the remote control button at the start and i roamed like 30 seconds trying to understand what i needed to do ahahah

- the movable camera would be better for the platformer parts.

- i didn't get why if you touch the tomb stuff you fail and you have to do it again, but ok.

Good effort and well done :)

It is not easy to make 3D platformer, and this one is okay for me.

Other than the control part,

the camera can be bring higher a little bit to get a more precise look of the character's standing point and landing point.

Also, an easy trick to make up for the control is making the platform larger so that it requires less precise control.

The hitboxes seemed a bit broken, and the jump could be a bit more powerful. The character seemed to keep walking for a small bit after you stopped providing input

Great to see another solo gamedev on here! It was a really cool idea, though the character control could use a bit more work. The graphical style was really nice too

Thanks! Also played and rated your game! (See my comment)

Cool game, loved the presentation! Would join the others for the controls. There's potential for great platformer!

I think visually the game is really great, the models you chose and your art direction jive really well together. With some snappier controls and more content this could make for a nice little platformer, and it's really impressive that you were able to pump out something 3d and playable in the short time you had!

It look's interesting, but the controls are pretty bad, anyway, the simple fact that you succesfully finished a 3D game in 48 hours is great, so keep it up!

Found the problem being Input.GetAxis vs Input.GetAxisRaw.. Smoothing was being applied, that’s why it kept sliding/floating for a bit.. it’s fixed in the release after ratings are over ;)

Neat idea, but I think with a platformer, it's really important to have satisfying controls and movement. The floating and sliding made it pretty frustrating

Developer

Yeah, my choice of Force on rigidbody movement over direct control wasn’t the right choice for this. Thanks for the feedback

Seems interesting, but had lots of problems with controls. Super floaty so kept missing platforms, or got stuck on the edge of them. Sorry, really wanted to play - looks great.

Thanks for playing my game! I had a lot of trouble and reworking of the movement already took up most of my time. Maybe I should’ve gone for direct control of velocity instead of adding force :/ Next time I hope to get in a lot more levels

Had a great time joining my first GMTK game jam. This was my second game jam, although this one was as a solo dev.

Next time I will definitely join a team.

Let me know what you thought of my “small” game!
