Great idea and execution. And OH MY GAWD THE ART IS THE CUTEST THING EVER! I love the fact that you can run around like an idiot with the corpses of your enemies. Would love to see them stacked into a staircase with pick-up being also restricted to one time per cadaver. Too bad I couldn't take them through the door, tho. I was looking forward to killing other guards with their dead mates.
By the way, gently dropping the knife instead of throwing it worked for me.
Great game, one of the thing I noticed was one of the guards jumped way to high outside the screen, and as many others have said, it would've been better to have the knife move horizontally for a certain distance at least, overall a very good and smooth experience!
Cute game. Overall, the game work fine, but some moments take from fully enjoy the experience. For my taste, the camera is too close to the player, knife throw feels random (aka without luck you can't kill the guards) and the barel is buggy (it took me like 10 attempts to kill the dude). I like the game, is just need more polishment. Good luck with you future projects.
The game feel is very smooth - that's what impresses me the most. (Although having to try again after slipping up after a very long level was frustrating. Maybe just make the levels shorter?) My main concern is that if you made the items multi-use then the levels won't really change very much - I didn't find a situation where a level was challenging specifically because the items were single-use.
Things like using an item not wanting to (a big deal since that is the main distinguisher of the game), slipping off from edges (especially when trying to jump on top of boxes), the fast reaction time required to throw the knife, and the way the knife goes in an arc above the guards. The key for using an item also should be changed, it could use a different finger than the movement.
I could really see the potential in this one. It is a shame that you got tied up and I hope whatever it was resolved. Most of my issues were with confusing level design and unpredictable physics but pumping out as much as you did was really dope.
