Trying to pass projectiles without the possibility to move back due to the growing spikes from the floor is an interesting concept. The execution is also nice, especially I like how the music fits the rhythm of the gameplay.

Great use of the theme -really fun and intense -music really added to that! xD  Awesome work!

I love how simple and well-timed everything is! I also like the zelda-like music you made, very good job!

The player's hitbox definitely could've been a lot smaller, especially given the amount of bullets on screen, but I thought the movement speed worked out rather nicely!

Good job overall dude =)

Gj for the game. Pretty interesting and hard to manage bullets and traps below ^^

Thanks for playing! Glad that you felt it's instresting!

Wow this game is brutal ! But in a good way, I felt challenged right away and it kept getting harder and harder, without being totally unfair. And the synchronisation with the music is really cool. Well done !

Glad that you feel the difficulty is not too bad, I extremly want create some bullet hell game that I can enjoy playing, I really like touhou project series, but it might be too hard for me, I can only clear the easy mode for the most time.

Well done, I liked the music and the sphere shooting with beat. Also the theme of jam done well.

Developer

Very glad that you like the music, it's my first time trying to make some melody for a gamejam, also the first time give the music work some publication, it really encourages me to learn and do more.

I like the nod to the classic zelda dungeon theme with the music - the tone of the bass note when it comes in is much noisier than I'd like personally, and compositionally I felt the shift to major arpeggios at the end was a little awkward. definitely feels like it would benefit from some more mechanics, but the spikey bullet hell is a great implementation of the don't stop theme. One other thing, I wish the door wasn't there because it made me very confused about what i was supposed to be doing at first, it definitely seems to suggest leaving through the door is something you might be able to do.

Developer

Thanks for honest opinion on the music! I have little knowledge about the music theory, and I knew I have a lot to learn as a newbie of music making, and it's my first time trying to make some noise more than ten seconds.

Firstly, I have completely no idea for the music, I just want something can make player feel dangrous, then the classic zelda dungeon came into my mind, so I searched the video and copied its chords. That change into major at the end is for making player knew it's close to success, I knew it could a little abrupt. For the door, I just want to make it look like a dungeon, and I originally planned to make a cutscene that the player entered the room and the door closed, which I have no time for. The confusion it creats is unexpected for me.

Anyway, thanks for playing!

Whoa it fits perfectly with the theme. Kind of wish there were highscores but really fun mechanism.

Developer

Highscore is actually in consideration at the begining, but only the core mechanics I planned was completed, which makes me feel hard to design how to get points (maybe getting close to bullet? but I thought it could be confusing and also too hard for this game).

Very well done, fits perfectly with the theme. But it does feel kinda limp since not a lot is going on. I suggest adding more shake and just more juice to make the game more lively. Overall a great looking game!

Developer

Yes, I also think it lacks some juice, I originally planned something like, pick up items, active skills, laser bullet, bomb throwing, and bullet bloom gfx, which might be too much for me in a week, I think if these are all done, it will definitely be more lively.

a nice game. I really love how the music and the enemy attacks are syncing. Its a bit to challanging for my tatse. I could't get past the 4th state.

But overall a nice game!

Developer

Very glad that you like the syncing which is my focus during this jam, it's my first time trying to do the the music syncing bullet, which forced me to make some music more than ten seconds (also the first time). The bullet style is in my mind during the music making (which took a whole day), after it's implemented I actually noticed that the dificulty curve is not very friendly.

Very nice entry!

The audio is done so well and neatly, with the orb shooting synced to the music.

A timer would be a nice addition, IMHO.

Developer

Yes, I agree with the timer stuff, many things I planned are not in the final game because of the deadline. But the timer display was neglected the whole time.

Pretty dope game. There's no better way to fit the don't stop theme than with spikes lol

Also extra points for matching the sphere throwing thingies at you with the music. Nice stuff!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I learned two new words in this reply, dope and thingies, lol.
