I like overall, the gameplay feeling was so fun however it feel little unpolished but still really good, the music its amazing love it for some reason it give me some guity gear vibes, the simple art slaps too, nice game

The game is beautiful, I like simple art but worked. Effect are very good and very juice, I like a kind of shield around the player. Personnaly, I prefer control more aggressive (for the drift) but it is even cool. Everythings is great, I see animation on menu too !

One thing to improve, writing are hard to read. But good game :)

The game is really juice with a lot of VFX, SFX and post process. The car's drift works really well!

Iit's really hard to collect the money because of the controls of the car and I can't read the texts because of the blurry effect.

Still a nice entry! Good job :)

I really liked the presentation of the game, very arcade feel which is always fun to see.

The core gameplay is solid, I would maybe recommend some adjustments to the camera, or making the indicators a little bit more clear on how close the enemy attacks are, as it often felt like I wasn't sure if I was about to get hit.

Overall it was super fun to play!

Pretty fun, great music and decent controls. I also really enjoyed the Aesthetic

Well done on the juice part, the game feels good to play, and the driving is quite nice. I think the car is a bit hard to control, which is not a problem by itself but the player needs to collect small things on the ground, and it can be a bit frustrating. It took me time to even understand that enemies dropped money, and that there was a shop, because the money drop was most of the time done offscreen, and the map is pretty big while the shop is only at the center, so it is easily missable. Maybe zooming out a bit, and giving back the car a bit more control could have helped ?

The retro low rez effects are pretty cool, but the text was almost unreadable unfortunately, due to the very low display resolution.

Despite those problems, it's quite an enjoyable game, and I think it's not far from being really fun ! I think there is a clash between the two genres you're mashing (car driving and roguelike shooter), and it would require a lot of finesse in the game design to solve it, that would require more time than given in the jam. But there's definitely a cool concept to explore !

Have you tried to add obstacles in your map, to put more emphasis to the driving gameplay ? I think it would add a lot of depth to the gameplay, to have to dodge things, and the enemies would not need to be so aggressive, which makes encounters a bit random sometimes.

What I like:

  • The driving feels quite nice and feels very physics based
  • The music fits the gameplay very well
  • The overall juiciness is quite high

What could be improved:

  • I'm not sure if it was just a scaling issue, but the game was somewhat blurry on my screen. I had a hard time reading the text
  • I thought it was too zoomed. Combined with there not being a lot of landmarks in the map I couldnt really find my way back to the shop and could see enemies until they were too close
  • It seemed like wasd was supposed to be a sharper turn or something based on the skid effects, but the turn radius wasn't actually changed
  • Being able to slow down or speed up a bit would be nice

Very juicy gameplay, great sounds and overall feel.

Im always a sucker for that CRT look.  Wish the turning radius of the car was a bit tighter.  Our driving controls are a bit too loose, so only proves it's hard to nail top down driving perfectly.  Game is fun!  Good work!  :)

Nice job! It's a cool concept and the visuals have a sleek and consistent style. As others mentioned: I wouldn't have known there was a shop if I hadn't looked at the comments, and the drifting sound effect gets annoying pretty quickly

Juicy juicy  , it took some time to understand what's going on, but the gameplay is fun !

Mmm, juicy stuff! I love the retry screen when it pops in. I kind of felt too zoomed in to be able to react to the things that killed me though :D

I would have liked some variations in the drift sound. Maybe some pitch randomness or something. I mean, you hear it all the time after all!

Nice glow and art style. Maybe a little too pixelated for reading, but hey. It was a little hard to know what was what too. It was a little unclear at first that the non glowing red squares were like turrets shooting stuff, and I ran straight into them and BOOM. :)

It would have been nice with some more instructions, like controls is kind of bare minimum. Maybe you can add that to the game page?

Of course, thank you very much for your feedback!!

This game is pretty cool, definitely one of the juiciest I've seen, for me it only lacks some acceleration, deceleration, cause getting those diamonds is really hard, and a bit annoying when you swing next to them like for the 10th time.
I also couldn't find a shop, I played like 10 minutes, and I haven't found it...
But arts, music, juicyness is awesome, good job!

Thank you very much for the feedback!!, the store is the green circle in the center of the map.

Thanks for playing!!

Oh!!!
I see, that's true, it changes a bit, also the font is a bit too pixelated for me xd
