Super fun little puzzler! funny thing about your particles not working. I don't think it takes to much away from the game. In some ways I think it saves it because your particles look like they scale down  and fade out in the gifs you have attached. For the theme of this jam I would have handled the particles slightly differently

You would want pixel squares that blast out in the same way, but just pop out of the screen and not alpha fade out. You could time each pixel to disappear at whatever timing you want and almost keep the same effect. However it will fit better with that :retro game explosion. at the same time you don't want your pixel dust/effect to scale at all. that breaks the whole point of 160x144 challenge in some ways. and lastly by fading them out, your introducing more then 4bit colors. because your blending black to nothing.

I almost ended up doing the same thing for my particles but ended up making them so they dont scale and just pop off the screen.

Great job!

Thanks for you r opinion and suggestion. Particles don't have alpha fade out. They're only being scaled down.

This was a really cool game!  I loved the clarity of it all.  Straightforward, difficult, but not punishing.... I still end up yelling at a surprise little spikey slider guy.  This was really well done and best of all fun.  I think the passwords were a clever solution.  Excellent thinking!  Nice work!

Nice little game about guiding a lion's paw into a rectangle. :D Cool and fun. I like the mission names that hit what's in the scene, a bit like Worms - or Lemmings -games did. Keep learning!

Nice one! I think the tank looks like a computer mouse. Maybe this could be expanded to make a central theme? (blocks become keyboard keys??) Good combo of action and puzzler.

I really enjoyed this, kind of a shooter meets sokoban.  I got to level 10 and have left it open in a tab to go back to!

Developer

Thanks. You don't need to leave game open. on levels 6, 11, 16, 21 and 26 there is a password.

Really love the stylized feel of this game! Good job making it very gameboy like and the gameplay is Puzzle-ish without feeling like it most the time. Very impressive work!

Developer

Thanks.

Tried to play the web version, getting the error "indirect call to null"? I'll be back to try out the windows version once I clear my current webgame backlog :)

Developer

Have  you tried the windows version? Does it work for you?
