Beautiful game! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GBJam 5 games, if you'd like to take a look :)

One of the most complete feeling games that I've played in this jam. Looks lovely with some really nice effects, sound is missed but that's a common issue. The main issue is that it doesn't convey it's mechanics to the player at all, without knowing about the ghost form or the grave diving the player is left to wander around a relatively confusing area, not knowing where to go until they realise that they're just looping around. The fact that ghosting is mapped to B button makes it unlikely to find when the player starts trying buttons near A; on top of being uncomfortable.

Hello everyone! I've loved reading your suggestions and comments.

@liquidstreak Thank you very much!

@Eendhoorn @Auroriax (Tom H.) Thanks for your input. I agree that the keyboard inputs are a bit awkward. This will be adjusted in a post-jam update! Gamepad support may be nice too.

@Random-StoryKeeper I read your review and was thrilled! Thank you so much for your analysis and kind words :)

@Celia Thanks for your comment! I am glad you enjoyed playing ^_^

Lovely! I love the graphics - the light effect and the fuzziness as your sanity goes down really built up the mood. Playing through was a fun challenge. I enjoyed the arc of the game - I found the owl early on, but didn't realize the significance until I had had several hints from ghosts, at which point I returned - very satisfying.

I was going to submit a review for this, but I'm limited to 1024 characters on this page. So I'll leave you with a link to the full comment: http://random-storykeeper.tumblr.com/private/151830744723/tumblr_of30ytatb81r3kkx4

In short, I quite like it. :D

Like mentioned before, the control scheme is not ideal. Other than that it was an interesting little game. There was a real feeling of tension when my sanity was getting low haha

The A & B control scheme forces my left hand into a very unnatural position, it's not really comfy.

That said, I liked the obvious inspirations (Rougelight and FEZ) and just wandering around (although I was often lost and not really sure how to find what I was looking for), like others have said, some atmospheric music would really top it off.

I really like the look and lighting in this game and enjoyed the spooky theme. Very cute!

Thanks everyone for the positive comments!

@Sean @Ourson I am continuing to work on the game, and atmospheric sfx / music is on the list of updates!

@Midipixel Thank you very much!

@CarlsonAndPeeters Find the graveyards and press 'down' as a ghost to enter the graves :)

Charming game, loved it!

Good job. It felt good to play. Mabe you could have found some way to give the player the control. The grave searching especially.

It's really atmospheric. Some sound would help a lot.

Great work anyway =).

Amazing entry! Loved the ghost mechanics and the grave searching and the perfect use of the 2d lighting in this game (particularly for the "hidden" doors!) The palette is beautiful and made me think of Roguelight.

In my head, Nightwalk is a "sister game" of our own entry, Soulstice, for both of them are love stories that have "body swapping" mechanics in them. Check it out! ;)

Very cute little game! It was a bit confusing at first and took me awhile to get my bearings and make it to the end, but the pixel art is great, and the lighting is a nice effect.

I was really craving some audio though, I hope that's on your list if you're doing any post-jam updates!

Best looking game I've seen. Definition of 5 stars. Couldn't figure out how to progress in game though.
