It was fun to play, I expected to get the slingshot before, I mean, I read the instructions and each time I pick a walnut I was expecting to be able to fire to the enemies  and I thought I was doing something wrong, then I realized the attack wasn't ready and I probably need to unlock it, but it felt strange to pick so many walnuts before being able to fire them. First enemies felt a bit too fast for the movement of the character.

Very cute! I like the graphics and animation. I think the first level was a little "bullet hell"-ey for my taste, but I enjoyed the puzzles in the second and third, they reminded me a lot of old zelda games.

Very charming game. The maze puzzle before the slingshot felt a little janky as I thought I got myself soft locked. Afterwards, I wasn't sure where to find the 'bullies'

Thank you~

Great game, I really liked the limited ammo, making every shot count (until you collect more walnuts).

Keep it up!

Thank you so much!

There is a lot of broken stuff in this game that I don't get, and it's a bit sad since it looked really good at first glance.

I can't no longer attack at the next section, a character sprite goes over the player sprite, and the hole logic is so weird.

The graphics and storytelling are good. But the gameplay is a bit difficult. I don't know how to attack the enemy. The enemies are many and difficult to dodge. I have collected walnuts. But I don't know how to use it, pressing X can't do anything.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We probably could have made this more clear, but you can use the walnuts when you get the slingshot during level 2.

Does that mean we only have to avoid enemies (in level one)?

Developer(+1)

Pretty much. In lvl 1 it's a dodging game until you obtain the pesticide spray bottle, which is your melee attack. You start collecting walnuts so you have ammo when you get the slingshot in lvl 2. We played back and forth with the idea of making walnuts available before the slingshot and I think it came down too we didn't have enough time to test both styles so we ended up with what we already had in engine.

Since the slingshot seems to be a common pain point with players this is great feedback for us to implement when revisiting these level designs if we return to this project, so again, thank you so much for letting us know about this!!

Not bad.  I thought I was stuck for a minute until I realized that you could shoot the "switches". Overall a nice game  with nice graphics.

Love the music and graphics, sadly i wasn't able to throw the walnuts for some reason :(

Developer

Thank you! We probably could have made this more clear, but you can use the walnuts once you obtain the slingshot in the second level. :P

This is cute! The musical composition works but I feel the drums sound a little modern when contrasted with the Gameboy graphics. A few sound effects to add more feedback to player actions like picking up items and hitting lanterns would definitely elevate the experience. Overall nice job!

Thanks so much for the feedback!

Boss definitely looked intimidating. Looking forward to more.

Thank you! (That was the intention ;) )
