Simple but very fun! The controls and game feel were really good! Would like to see more levels :)

Very simple to grasp mechanic that fits the theme well and makes for some interesting jumps! I quite like that it doesn't need any explanations whatsoever!
Visuals, music and sounds are all great picks and match well!
Fun! So fun I wish there were more levels! I haven't had my fill of being a fruit collecting ninja frog just yet!
The disappearing platforms are a nice idea, the levels are set up in a way where you can see where to go and remember those platforms when they blink out of sight. Of course the player can also jump in place to show the platforms again, and the controls are tight enough that even blind jumps aren't too hazardous.
Let me reiterate that the controls are very good! In my own limited experience I haven't been able to make a 2D platformer in Unity as nice as this, there are usually issues like friction on the sides of walls which mess with the player's physics. It's nice to see it can be done well!
I felt a bit terrible about throwing things at the rhinos, they look very sad when they get hurt and then blink out of existence. 🙃
Also! I specifically played this one since it was mentioned that it has gamepad support, so thank you for that! :D
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed beeing a ninja frog collecting fruits!
Thanks for the comments about platforms. Let the player see where to go and where are the big harvest spots was made on purpose and I spent an entire day doing it. I'm really happy to have a comment on it, thank you for that.
You made my day with you're comment about the controls and lack of frictions on the side of walls, really! I did put a lot of efforts on it and then spend another 5 or 6 hours on one specific bug I had about frictions. I think solving it has been one my biggest achievment in this game jam. That's why I do really appreciate that you noticed the efforts and felt very good with the controls. I'm saying it again: thanks so much!
Also, I think rhino and chameleon are too cute to be thrown things at them but they had to sacrifice for the purpose of the game (and they did not protest) =)
Last thing, gamepad should be a standard. This is my first project and I think I'll made all of them 'gamepad friendly' =)
Wow, this is simple but incredibly fun. I wish it had more levels. It felt really polished and the movement was super well done. I really enjoyed playing it with a gamepad. My only feedback, the disappearing platform's mechanic doesn't add that much difficulty to the game, and I feel it could be reworked somehow (or maybe it's the level design)
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I agree, the platform's mechanics were just 'me trying to match the theme somehow..'. but in the end, like you said, it doesn't add that much difficulty. I think it's also due to my skill level, because when the theme were annouced I came up with a lot of differents ideas for the game (portals, split screens, switch between 2d and 3d, etc.) but no idea at all about how to implement them. It was a little frustrating but it also makes me wanting to learn more. And even more now, after receiving so many good feedback on my very first (tiny) project! =)
Thank you for your time and feedback.
Nice one. Fruit collection is glitched, you can pick the same 3 or even 4 times. You must deactivate the fruit collider when the player touches it.
Great one, pretty similar to mine, albeit much better :D
Really enjoyed this! Platforming felt great and I love the idea of having to keep jumping to see where you need to go next, being a ninja frog and all!
Think the enemies could be knocked down temporarily and then get back up rather than dying after one shot, just to increase the difficulty slightly, but it's still great as it is.
Great work!
This game is really cute! I love the music and it matches with how cute the assets used are. The controls feel good too!
Loved the Ninja-Frog! The music and sound were a good match and the jumping felt good. The enemies could have been a little bit more challenging.
If you have the time, play and rate mine, too.
