You clearly know your art and have done a great job upgrading the snowboarding game.
Did you consider adding some extra sounds also? Just something when you crash would be good.
Added to my itch collection so I can one day get good at it.

Developer

in the original version his head falls off and has a bone breaking sound effect and spurts blood everywhere lol I took it out because it conflicted with the vibe I was going for in the end lol

Ya, decapitation would ruin the vibe. Maybe a "umph.." sound effect?

Developer(+1)

I agree, I think the sound effect I’m most focused on short term is wheels rolling over different sounds like leaves, dirt, gravel, rocks etc, the bike is meant to be electric and ghostly and I figure the hum of a motor could make the game feel less calm.

Submitted

If like an electric car, it's quiet. No motor sounds. Ewan McGregor and his buddy went on a big road trip on electric motorcycles from BMW and they were quiet.

Beautiful visuals and music! I couldn't get past 120m because I'm really bad at this type of game.

this is so much fun and reminds me back to the good ol’ elasto mania :) .. need to find that again on my harddrives :D

best result was nearly 400 once .. after that i got stuck after the 3. jump .. was really hard to hold balance .. especially with that hard corners already on the beginning ..

as a biker i enjoyed playing it even when i suck .. i liked the glowy bike and the lightning of it really much :)

good job 👍

Developer

thanks for playing it and giving it a few tries I’ll definitely be focusing on fixing the handling to make it a bit easier to correct rotation.

This was fun but I have never been great at these games.

Nice game, with really great aestherics. And of course the nostalgia... :)

There are three of my favorite things in this game: the forest, the mountains and the starry sky. Thank you for that. The game is atmospheric.

well done, good background music, if it had sound it would be even better.

Controller feels a little slow when rotating

Developer(+1)

sound was really tough with the free asset restriction because I wanted it to sound like an electric bike but I couldn’t find a good looping sound effect. It’s one of the reasons I submitted early so I could begin working on a full version. But Thankyou for playing :)

Awesome! I wish I had a controller to plugin and use like in Trials, this is a great implementation of bike physics.

Submitted(+1)

Wow! I don`t know how much the engine did for you but anyways: This is impressive. A bit counterintuitive, that you speed up with "w". But the rest: very enjoyable! :)

Submitted(+1)

That felt very satisfying once I got the hang of it, feels like I've played several games like this before... a tried a tested method is not a bad thing though :) I like it a lot 👍

Beautiful Background and music! The turn is a little hard, but otherwise I could go forever!

Please play and rate my game too :D

Submitted(+1)

I like this kind of game, it's very fun to play, even if the physics is a bit hard to control. it is very easy to turn more than wanted.

Very nice aesthetics and mechanics

Very well done with graphics, the game is very aesthetically pleasing. :) It took sometime to get used on controls, moving forward with up was counterintuitve to me, and some slopes are pretty hard to get past. I'm not very skilled at those kind of games so it could have been me. Bike physics are very accurate as well, good job!

Developer

thanks haha im thinking it might be better if i add controller support and make accelerate and reverse face buttons and put balance on thumbsticks/dpad

The look of the game is beautiful! Reminded me of the Trials games. Liked the vibe and chill music! Good work!

I can't remember what game it was but it takes me back to the old flash games of the 00s! The bike physics handle great 😎 Nice work!

Oh man! I remember all of these games I played as a 6 year old  in the 2000s and 2010s, like : Hill Climb racing, a bike game I don't remember anymore, and happy wheels in 2015! This just gave me so much nostalgia! beautiful game! The physics are perfect as well!

Childhood memories :D Great game you've got here. My only complaint is that I didn't like the glow on the biker.

Developer(+1)

I had wondered if it was a bit too much, originally the rider and bike were silhouettes and the moon was much bigger and positioned to stay behind the rider to illuminate it but i found it way to bright to stare at the moon the whole time. I tried moving it but that made it too hard to see the bike/rider. In the end changing it is what led me to go with the Ghost/Angel theme.

Submitted(+1)

I think it could work out actually, maybe what felt off is the lack of shadows on the bike/rider. Still, it's just small visual adjustments, it's a great game!

Submitted(+1)

The vibe with the visuals and downtempo chill beats was great. The gameplay definitely gave me flashbacks of those really fun flash games you'd play in middle school. Great job with this!

Developer

Thanks haha it was inspired by a few of those games from the early 2000's
