Nice game. Very hard. Jump interruption good, capsule collider bad. The deathmode mechanic initially felt weird and tacked on - the only change I noticed was the music that's too loud? But then I realized. Yeah, it's good.
I like the ramping up in speed settings etc when you first "die".. adds an interesting level of diffciutly,. in that you could complete the runner faster. by dying sooner,.. if you can keep up :),.. but then you have less "life" to do it in.
Kool concept. Well done on this, great work both!
Why putting the source on google? that tiny archive would totally have fit on the game's page for direct download...

This was a very good entry, I was thinking to myself this feels too slow for this type of game, then I got shot twice and the music kicked in along with increased player speed, from that point on it was very satisfying to play!!
Nice game, loved the urgence feel when music kicks in; I would have added a couple more of sfxs for player feedback.
I really love the aesthetic of this game. The pixel art lands me square back in the arcades playing contra again. This was a banger for me. I think you could speed the character up a bit and make the jump less floaty, definitely need cayote time for this one. However, these are all mechanics that you will pick up over time. This is still just right up my alley. Great Job!
This is pretty good for your second game. Close to the beginning you use the same girder sprite for platforms and background elements, which is kind of confusing. It feels like I should be able to dodge enemy bullets, but with the size of the screen and the somewhat clunky controls, I can't.
When I first started playing I was like well this seems ok but a little bit slow but then I died and the music kicked in and it sped up and that really got me going! Great job! The jumping might need some tuning as I found myself hitting the head and killing my momentum quite often.
