super cute! i enjoyed the storyline and the details in the art and physics with the luggage. having different styles of terrain generated made it easy to try something new! i liked the audio cue that the car was doing its best to chug up a hill, but i did feel the whirring was a little jarring compared to the chill vibes of the background music. overall fun game and i enjoyed your twist on the theme!
Thanks! Yeah, maybe mixing engine sounds and chill music dont go the best together!
Really dug the vibe here! The bouncy truck, pixel art, and that engine noise—chef’s kiss 😄 Stuff flying around made it feel chaotic in a fun way. Took me a minute to get the hang of the controls, but once I did, I was locked in. Solid work, keep it rollin’! 🚛🎮
If you get a chance, check out my two games too and drop a rating—would mean a lot, buddy. Good luck with the jam! 🚀
Thankyou! Will definitely check it out!
For the open source category, you'll need to have a README file and License file.
8-bit graphics are so cute. The music is lovely and fitting. It'd be good if the "settings" menu could be dismissed by clicking "esc" on the keyboard. Love this take on "balance". It was really fun, and interesting. Nice work!
OMG tysm! Totally forgot! will add right away. Thanks for the reminder and feedback!
Anytime, no worries.
Good job
thanks :)
Wow ,such a relaxing and pleasant to eye and ear game. It wasn't designed for 781m records, on ~330 meters the music disappeared, and on 780m road lost it's filling it was just black line and nothing underneath. But any way it is very good experience. Also customizable level generator is awesome idea!
Never tested it that far lol. Am aware of the music cutting off tho. Forgot to click one little checkbox to make it loop 🤦. Thanks for the comment!
Nice Game! Remember me a game I used to play, Hill Climb Racing. I liked the art style and how to fits the theme!
Yeah, was definitely inspired! Thanks!
Nice small game, with surprising amount of challenge! The audio is great.
this submission impressed and inspired me :) the audio and visual presentation is great and it plays well too, rather difficult though! nice job :)
Thanks
I loved this. It's fun in the way a remote control car is fun to drive, - I think there's room for expansion here too, maybe adding slightly more depth to the gameplay (maybe even a narrative), though it works like this too. I wasn't too sure what the white line down the screen meant? I figured it was a check point, but then didn't seem to go back there when I died. And Audio doesn't loop (it stopped after maybe 5 minutes?). Other than that really solid game, nice touches on the notes appearing to the beat too!
I didn't play around with the train settings cause it was tiresome to switch from that to the main game. If I had a cut off review of the hill I'm making with the settings and see what is changing when I'm changing the values would make this way better and reducing the friction of the hill settings and gameplay. You could chunk up each level to different phases or chapters and each time lock a certain option of your settings and make me play around with other settings to make a map for myself and run it to win. The concept is great, gameplay is too dull, I crash way too fast and gave up after crashing 4 times on a simple hill.
Idea is great! Keep it up and make it more playable and you have a nice game to play.
btw, music was great, fit the whole chill vibe of the game.
Very chill game! I really like the style and the music and sounds fit the game nicely. Very polished. It was a really nice touch to add the world settings to mess around with in the menu
Nice graphcis, loved the sound design (this is simple but a music stop when crash is so nice).
Played with settings a bit, that was fun. Well played !
Thanks!
This damn 120.4 meter pothole! Raaahhh! Almost made me rage-quit ... Then i did it. Just to crash some meters later XD
VERY nice game! The moody music and the engine-noise is perfect. The gfx are nice too.
Thankyou :D
I may be smooth brained but I couldn't get past the first hill :(
Haha lol, its not easy! You can change how steep the hills are in the options menu too!
Good Music and graphics. Good idea for the balance. But I've difficulties to go forward and backward I go nowhere : ) I love the graphics the parallax style and pixels.
Thanks! Appreciate it
Nice game! I like the visual style and sound effects. Would be even nicer if we could control the volume of the music to enjoy the funny sfx better. Nice job!
Will keep that in mind for my next projects! Thanks!
This is by far the most fun I’ve had from all the games I’ve already tested in this jam. SFX is perfect, the ridiculously high-pitched vehicle engine is hilarious and spot-on.
Couldn’t help smiling at the rotating pixelated truck wheels. Sounds bumpy! 😂
Loved the greem visuals and watching the tiny pieces of luggage bounce all over the place.
Amazing effort, huge well done. Made my day :)
Thankyou so much! Really grateful for the positive feedback. This is only my second game ever so I didn't think people would enjoy it so much! Thanks :)
120.5 m The game fits with the theme very well! Nice work!
Thankyou!
Just the graphic does not fit well but the overall gameplay and the Game Mechanics are great I liked that and the seed and terrain control are well made. Overall the game is great.
Thanks! Could you explain what you mean by "the graphic does not fit well"? Do you mean the ground? I was trying to figure out how to make it pixelated, but this is my first time using Godot and I couldn't figure it out. But thanks for the feedback!
