Yeah definitely something I wanted to do at the start of the project, but ended up running out of time. Thank you for the feedback!

5/5 Enjoyment!! Really fun to play. Nice work!

Good work! Good concept and good execution. I enjoyed trying to hit the goal before the timer ran out. Fits the theme well, and could definitely be expanded on in the future. I think some more unique traits would be cool, as all of them were based the amount of other towers nearby/on the grid. Good luck!

Controls worked well and I had no bugs or issues. I thought the first scene was a cool idea, where you could memorize the level going one way and that can help you when it comes back a second time. It did feel a little short though and I wish there was more. I'm not sure if I missed anything but it only took about a minute to complete. Nice work, keep making games and getting better!

Nice work! Plays well and looks clean.

Nice work! I think the movement and camera system could use some refinement, it was hard to see what I was doing because the camera was super jerky, and the recoil of the gun wasn't propelling me far enough. The artwork was great and the instructions were useful. I think it's a cool idea that enemies stun you instead of just killing you. Keep making games!

Oh that  makes sense thanks

Sadly the mouse lock didn't work for me even after hitting Q. I'm on macOS if that helps.

Enjoyment 5/5!! Really fun game. And it's playing random moves so idk how I still lose half of them 😭 I wonder if someone good enough could go on forever. I'm surprised nobody has had this idea before. You could make a connect-4 sequel lol

Super fun game!!! Reminds me of geometry dash. Unfortunately I'm awful at these types of games so I couldn't get past the flying level but it felt really well done and polished, no bugs or issues, music was good, and art was good. Hope this places well!

Crazy how you managed to make this in only 4 days, all by yourself. No bugs or issues found. Is it belatro inspired?Really good work and I hope this places well

5/5 enjoyment!! Out of the like 10 jam games I've played so far, this is by far my favorite. And it was made in half the time and it has like 20 pixels. Crazy stuff. I love these sort of pixel-minning games, and I hope this places well. Are you doing the Gameboy jam in a few weeks? Seems very similar to this. Well good luck!!

Also was this made in godot?

Super enjoyable!!! Creative idea and storyline too. Art was also super cute, I loved the googly eyes on the plants. It did feel a little rough around the edges, and the mouse cursor kept moving itself to plants I wasn't hovering on, but bugs are pretty standard in game jam games so thats normal. Upgrades were cool and I liked the music. Unfortunately, the game did end in a crash, it started spawning hundreds of weeds per second until my browser couldn't handle it anymore 😂 But good submission and I hope this places well!!

Artwork was 5/5 and theming was perfect!! I was a little confused and I wasn't sure what the oil lamps(?) in the top left did. I also had trouble with the mouse cursor being offset, even in fullscreen mode. Keep making games and improving, really good work.

I really like how you can have multiple weapons active at once instead of just 1. Was very challenging to control, but tutorial explained it well so that's probably just because I suck lol. Fun game though, wish I had more time to play.

I really like the quick movement, and once I unlocked the double jump the whole movement system felt really good. I think a feature you could add to your next platformer game is called "Coyote time" which can help make it more forgiving. I managed to beat it in about 180 seconds! Keep it up

Graphics were great and I like the idea of horror-style game about a dude just trying to retire 😂 I will say it was extremely difficult, I couldn't manage to get past the second shift. Great work and keep making games!!

Nice work! I think checkpoints would have been nice but other than that it was an enjoyable game. In only a day as well is very impressive.

Game didn't work for me, just a black screen when loading a level. I'm on MacOS so I can't test out the download version.

I wish I had a printer so I could review, but a board game is super unique 😂

I ended up with a high score of 39!! The concept is super cool after you get used to it, and I definitely came up with some strategies on my own. I was a little confused on what the lighting sheep did, and I had some aspect ratio scaling issues. But neither really impacted the gameplay experience, which I found super enjoyable. Nice work!

Thanks for the feedback!!

Really fun concept and art style. Remind me to rate it when rating period starts

can you update it so there's confetti (yes I will need 80% of the profit cut for this idea)

Thanks

I mean I guess I could but it's basically unplayable, 3D games + web don't run very well. Especially because I wasn't focusing on optimization at all.

When are the results out?

fun

um... not really

omg 🤦‍♂️

(1 edit)

That cover art is beautiful 🤩

Thankyou so much! I agree, I should have tried implementing the theme into the actual gameplay and not just the story. I really appreciate the feedback!

Thankyou :)

Thank you so much! I definitely agree, the music could use some work. I kind of struggled with making a song feel both like a energetic grandmother on her way to deliver cookies, but also a midnight winter snowstorm. I make alot of music but 90% of it is just a nice 4-8 bar loop I come up with, and then I give up and move on to another project. I hardly ever create something longer than that, which sounds great for a few seconds of listening but I agree that it gets boring after a short while. Also you seem like a really chill dude (or woman idk), you got discord? I would love to talk more about music if you make it too. But thanks so much for the feedback I really appreciate it.

Thanks very much! I will keep your feedback in mind for my future projects. There's definitely music and SFX, and it plays a huge part of the game. Other people I know have tried it with the sound working fine, sorry it wasn't working for you.

Looks cool but theres no download?

Wow, amazed that someone would play my game for that long! Thanks so much :)

haha, thanks!
