Very impressive for your first game! Congrats! I think the player controls were just a little touchy. I got the dash and that was very touchy as well. But it's cool you were able to implement checkpoints and upgrades! I would have also liked to have some music and sound effects. Keep it up!
yeah the sound effects and music are needed but I didn’t have enough time. I felt the appearance was slightly more important then sound
Echoing with Coraz_n's commets, Coyote time will make players less raging about this.
The conveyor belts are too hidden it is hard to tell without some animation and helper text.
I got stuck at the conveyor belt and immediately gave up.
I dont know what to do with the generators to be really honest.
The generators, you just go up to them and you "steal" the power from them. That is it
GREAT GAME!!
Thanks
The design is cool, but jumping is hard. It lacks some coyote time, maybe (especially on conveyor belts). Conveyors are hard to see, and the dash skill sometimes activates before the first jump. I think some sound effects when using skills should help the player track the cooldowns.
Nice job!
Those are some pretty good ideas. I may use those to help the game be better
The level design was really good. I like how you unlock abilities along the way. It was really hard to tell when the disable ability was activated though. Maybe you could make the disabled things disappear to better show the player the lasers wont hurt them.
That is a good idea. I should definitely add that. Also thanks for the nice comment
fun and well designed but the character moves too fast and the jumps are hard
Thanks for the comment. I didn’t really have time to play test so I had no idea how hard it was
The level design is good, but it was a bit difficult to land all the jumps (especially with the small conveyer belts.) Good entry, especially considering this being your first game jam. Keep up the good work.
Yeah with all the complaints I really need to fix the conveyors. Thanks for the nice comment on how good it is for first game jam game
Nice platformer, I like it, Someone already mentioned a bug in the comments on the game page, happened to me as well, got a screen:
Sorry about the bug, but thanks for the nice comment
Honestly, don't sweat it. I was just one of the 'lucky' once to catch it I guess. I hope the screen helps you fix it. Thanks again for the effort, I enjoyed playing.
Cute character design! Movement felt a little bit clunky and conveyor belts are bit hard to notice but it's got a promising premise :)
Wow, didn't think someone would like my character
neat start for a jump'n'run game. cool story and fitting graphics.
i like the little decorations (i.e. the signposts)
the conveyor belts are a bit surprising (not noticable beforehand) and the movement could improve from some comfort-options (like "late jump" - a very small counter after the player reaches the end of a platform where one is still able to do a jump)
Music and SoundFX would improve the game too
I was thinking of adding a late jump since I had some trouble, but I didn't have the time to.
nice game, few comments, traversal in the game seems to be hard, might have to add coyote jump to make it more forgiving, similar with previous comments, need to differentiate what is a conveyor or not, other than that, good game
Thanks for the nice comment. Just like previous comments I didn’t have time to fix it, so after the jam, I will
Good Game
Thanks for the nice comments
Nice game 👍
Thanks. What did you like about it
The game may not be very good. Visuals aren't communicating well and the conveyer belts are like 1 pixel thick and I couldn't see it most times. But it is good enough for the first game jam game. Keep up the good.
thanks for saying how it’s good for a first game. I had realized that the conveyors were a little too small, but I didn’t have any time to fix it. There are lots of things that I would fix if I had the time
