The aesthetic is splendid. Is the background a photo of real thing then edited? It looks cool. The gameplay is decent, and compatible in mobile. Well done.
Great little game I think! I really liked the soundtrack, and the visual style was also very unique. I have played a bit of Dicey Dungeons which made this a very enjoyable experience to play. Well done, you've done a great job!
Very ambitious project! :) I liked the idea but I felt it was hard to feel the difference between each card power. Not sure if I understood how the aging affected the game play, but I'm sure all those issues will be solved when you have more time to develop more the game. Great work so far!
This was a little bit confusing to figure out, but once I think I developed a strategy to win. The music and graphics were great, I would just advise a little less noise for the background tiles, as it was a little hard to see where I could walk and what was happening (I know it’s a certain aesthetic though). Overall great job!
I loved the retro-style graphics and music, would love to play this on a handhold. The battle mechanic is also interesting, a lot of potential. Some tooltips for the dice effects would be great.
Loved the graphics and music. I wish there was some sort of animation when the cards do damage. I was on my third fight before I started to figure out what was going on.
Not a big fan of this kind of games, but I enjoyed this one. The art and retro sounds are really cool. Good job!
Cool little game and I had fun playing it. I really liked the music and the combat style with the dices. Some inputs:
Congratulations to a really nice game!
The music is really great. I could listen to it for hours. The color pallet is also interesting, but it’s difficult to distinguish background from foreground. The characters are cute.
I appreciate both the keybaord controls, and the mouse controls. I wish I could use the keyboard control to engage with an enemy as well, and that the player didn’t respawn at the beginning of the stage after defeating an enemy (I guess these things weren’t added due to time constraints.) It’s not that important for the game itself, so please consider these tips for the improved version.
The battle system is also cool, but I struggled to understand how the dice worked with the cards. I think I understood it eventually. The number on the die will be replaced with the “?” on the card. If a card has a number on it, I can select the a die with the same number, and get the bonus effect.
I don’t know what the icon/image in the top left corner is.
Add some sound effects to the battle to make it even more engaging, and you have a solid card battler.
The presentation is great! I think it could use some sound effects for taking and giving damage. A hover-over effect to present info on the attacks would also be great. The core is very solid and with some tweaking, this could be a really cool game! Keep it up!
Enjoyed the concept, I could not understand mechanics, specially how the dice affects the cards output, a tutorial could be great to understand it.
Short, but solid! Congratulations
I really liked it! The graphics and sounds are a great callback to Gameboy era and the gameplay was dynamic and fun. Great work!
The game has an interesting concept and the music is really great. However I'm left a bit confused by the rules and mechanics. I wasn't sure how the dice affected the cards and the stats and it seems like I beat all the enemies just by choosing randomly. Maybe an instructional manual on the game page would have be helpful.
I really like the battling system with the cards and dice, it creates both variance and strategy. Would be great if you could add some explanation of what the symbols are supposed to be though, I didn’t really understand what many of them were supposed to represent. Awesome work!
