Damn that's a lot of polish on this game. All the art and everything is amazing, the music was super chill, and i loved the whole theme and everything. I do agree that some of the rng is rough.

I also hit a bug where turns started not progressing as expected. When i would push the end turn button the animation would happen but it would not go to the actual next turn. I think it might have been due to the events all popping up in succession. I would recommend having events be summarized rather than have each on pop in succession. It gets to be a bit much when i sell 10 of something and then next turn generate 10 different products.

I also ran into one more bug where my hand got shrunk? I was only able to hold and play 3 cards, but when i right clicked for descriptions i could see that i really did have five cards. This bug was more impactful as it definitely cut my chances of beating the game since i lost 40% of my options and rerolls.

Overall tho I loved it. Super great job on this. It's crazy that yall got this done in the jam time :)

I agree, the bugs are really annoying. Thank you for playing! :)

Agree that some of the RNG can be a bit tough in some card draws, but honestly any other changes I would note are so small (some text mismatch between fall vs autumn, wanting to be able to see what the details are on a plant after I've planted it) that I'm really just amazed at what you've put together in such a short time. I will for sure be revisiting this game any time I want to chill out with some good music and casual gameplay. Loved it!!

Thank you for the kind words! :)

To begin with, I am so madly in love with the music, most of all the spring music, it's simply stunning. First playthrough I was just listening really.

The whole game is stunning, really. What an amazing work you've done! I spent a long long time playing this game and I really wanted to win it, but well, as I believe you might've guessed, RNG got me good! ;D I loved the puzzle aspect, and it was really fun to learn what to place where and when, balancing bonuses and planning ahead, but sadly it seemed that in the end, it didn't really matter that much. The only tactic I could find that would get me close to winning almost every time (close, but never made it) was to ignore everything except harvest times. Like just discarding the stuff that would stay in play a long time and just focus on getting the cards out to increase my chances of getting the cards I needed. Even so, many times I didn't see the card I'd need even once during the whole playthough.

I don't agree with some comments I've seen and heard that the game should be infinite. It would be a shame to change the whole concept when you've got an actual working game here, where the only real issue is the unfairness of the RNG. What I'd like to see would be somewhere along the lines of either give the player the ability to buy cards they'd need from the shops and/or simply play around a bit with the limit of how many cards can be discarded. Perhaps giving players the ability to discard more than one card during a turn would be enough? Even though It's "impossible" now doesn't mean it'd be better if you'd always be able to win either, but I'd like to feel that the more I play, the better I get by learning the mechanics and planning ahead, but I never felt that way here. I was getting better, but didn't get closer to beating the game.

The most "immersive breaking" feature was not the RNG though, but the notifications. Haha, on occasion I sold stocks of like 100 items, but since the notifications needed to run before I could advance, the turn I just had to leave the computer and make coffee. ;D

Apart from that, it's insane how perfect anything else is. Perhaps that's why I am extra sad that it would fall on the unfairness, when everything else was just as perfect as it could be. Can't even really, in the end, remove any points for the RNG-stuff, because that would be as unfair to the rest of the game as the RNG was to the players. It I could give you 6 stars in each category, I would. But you'll have to do with 5. :)

Thanks for making this game <3

Oh wow! Thank you so much for your extensive feedback! It means a lot to us :) Your points are so true: the RNG is the game's biggest flaw unfortunately, and we're actively discussing ideas for how to deal with it. So thank you for bringing in new ideas :) And it's really a big shame that I forgot to "summarise" the same notifications :( I realised it too late when I sold 25 strawberries haha ^^

Thank you again for playing and taking the time to give us your feedback:)

Thank you for the kind feedback on the music, I'm glad you liked it! 😊

And thank you for such an extensive comment on the game, it's incredibly helpful for us, and hopefully we'll be able to progress the game further after the jam

Wowee this is a really fleshed out game nice job!  The art is great, and gameplay was really good I played until the end!  I wasn't sure on the arrow up and down indicators, did the down arrow mean the shop keepers weren't interested in that item?  Really awesome work on this game!

Developer(+1)

Oh, you pointed something interesting out. I guess the arrows can be a bit ambiguous. But, what they represent are bonuses, both negative and positive. Bonuses are related to the crops only, they affect things like crop maturing times and the amount you get after harvesting.

This game feels really polished. It was a very chill experience I could totally see myself playing this game on my phone. The challanges also acted as a nice guide so I wasnt planting random things all the time. Hope fully I will win the bet :)

Developer

Thank you! ^^

Nice and polished game, the mechanics works well. You might want to tweak the number of cards you can discard, as it can take some time to get the card you need when you have a full hand. Soothing ambiance and audio.

Developer

Thank you very much! :) Good point!

Great game, I had fun playing it - although I lost. The graphics are astounding and the gameplay it great. one minor thing I would improve are the notifications of you sell several items they get a bit annoying.

Developer

Very good point! Having to sit through 25 "strawberry sold" notifications is just awful haha! Thank you for your feedback! :)

Amazing job overall! The mood, the sound and the graphics fit well, and the gameplay is great. I think the time limit is not clear and the game's a bit RNG dominated, but a good experience nonetheless. Good job!!

(I got a bug, I think, when there are notifications pending and you manually finish the turn, the cards are not refilled)

Developer

Thank you for playing! About the bug, you can click the End turn button 3 or 4 times after all notifications are displayed so you can keep playing. We appreciate your feedback!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, that bug is really frustrating. Oh well :/

Really fun game, Gorgeous art!
Maybe add some re-roll system for the card, to make use of all the money we got. Each re-roll will cost more and will reset each round.
Besides that, I am really enjoying it! Great work!

Developer

Thank you for the kind feedback! :) I like the idea

It is gorgeous! Nuff said

Brilliant art work and music, will be better if the game play move faster and more response with all action I take

Developer

By more response what do you exactly mean? More intuative design on how to show to a player what he does?

Submitted(+1)

yeap, when player plant a tree or click on the button, more ui animation and popup effect can make things better

Submitted(+3)

I like the chill game play. It's very thoughtful. The aesthetic of the music, sound, graphics, and UI are put together skillfully.
