We definitely see the need for a tutorial! Difficulty was the main comment on our very last minute playtesting among friends, so we feel bad about that, just ran out of time before the jam deadline. Thanks so much for playing!

We would have loved to include a tutorial and a better ramping up of difficulty; alas, we ran out of time. Thanks for playing and commenting!

Thank you for playing with our cute ghosties!

Thank you for playing!

For sure, an in-game note system was in development but we cut it for time management. Just ran out of time to squeeze it in there in time for the jam! Thanks so much for playing!

I like the idea a lot, and was able to beat the level, but had some confusion on the tools. Not sure if it was just a misplaced UI element but the equipped slot was in the room so I thought it was a rug, and didn't realize the tools were on the ground and weren't items to be picked up. Also mouse controls didn't work for me.

Some really nice touches to this including being able to command your allies on who they target and including headshot bonuses!

He's so precious, I loved protecting him!

Fun little innovation on the Vampire Survivors-vibe, and really clever theme interpretation!

This must be what Target workers feel like now with the new 10ft rule hahaha I love this -- don't know how you managed it in such a short time but it's really fun to play and a great idea.

(1 edit)

I love this game! It was a bit hard to click some of the interactions, but that may have been the size of my screen. Otherwise I really enjoy the gameplay and such a fun story. And also I love jar frog, long may he live!

I love games like this for keeping my brain fresh (even though I am as bad at math now as ever, apparently)! At its current speed/layout, I would suggest making it so the character snaps to one of the rows when you hit left or right, rather than having the player maneuver them into the exact place.

So I was able to play (I think) and see the UI, but may have also encountered technical problems as my screen looked similar:

This combines 3 of my favorite things: lil guys, murder mysteries and logic puzzles. Also, jazz is there! Would love to play a full version of this with more guys and bigger parties. I think I'd also label the lightbulb -- I thought it was a hint button so it took me a while to figure out how to start.

Really clean design, especially in your rules walkthrough. Everything is so clean and well done! I agree with the comment that having the card text appear closer to the card when hovering over would be nice, as would being able to play on a phone! Hard, but not unfairly so, and very fun to play.

You know, I see that now on your control notes -- that's on me! In that case, no notes :)

You are such a talented artist -- the game was beautiful and very polished. Got ending 4/4 my first run, definitely going back to find the others!

This is like a whole game, I love it! So adorable, very cozy -- other than, you know, the murder, secrets, and bankruptcy haha! Will be bookmarking to play through again and try for other endings and stamps.

The vibes are so good, I'm a sucker for the vaporwave look and the future museum theme. Some really impactful dioramas and writing, and some really fun. Great work!

I'm obsessed with ducky pig!

Love this style of game and think the idea is there, but it was a little cumbersome to play. I think it would be nice to have the notebook of people info and maybe the map as a button that stays in the same place, or just something more easily accessible. It made it hard to keep track of my thoughts and things when I had to scroll over to the book.

Simple and fun! My first game though, the only student next to me was the bully. Fixed on the next run, but maybe something to prevent from happening.

I love games like this! Feels like something I'd have been happy to pay money for. Great work!!

What a fun blast from the past! I'm reminded of how bad I was at these games then, and now haha but fun enough to keep trying!

What a delight! I'm a big Phasmo fan so I was really looking forward to playing this and it didn't disappoint. Really gave me nostalgia for my old brick of a gameboy. Can't believe you did this all yourself! Only thing I'd change is maybe button layout -- adding options for 'A' and 'B' to be on the right side of the keyboard to mimic the gameboy a little more.

Honestly, I'm kind of obsessed with this game. I LOVE the art and the minigames were so fun and creative. All the characters cracked me up. Really amazing job! (I did experience one crash, when playing against the guy on the table, but was so invested in finding out if the couch was real I replayed the whole thing to the end.)

Beautiful art and vibes -- everything flows really well together. It played very small in browser for me (Firefox) so it was hard to see some things. I wasn't able to progress past the first floor; I'm sure there's something I've missed, just can't find it! For that my only suggestion would be to maybe make items only clickable once if they're not plot important.

Absolutely insane amount of polish and game for a jam -- amazing job! Cute lil zombie, too

For sure! We initially planned to have increasing fish/levels (as well as some kind of reeling mechanic) but, you know, the month gets away from you. Maybe if we decide to revisit post jam :) Thanks for playing!

Room escape is my favorite genre and this was a good short one — nice to see one in a game jam! I enjoy the idea of having two different views that work together and the puzzles were nice, very Rusty Lake but sci-fi. I did have some trouble when the cursor would turn into the blue hand, its hitbox was sometimes a little off.

Definitely one of my favorites — just overflowing with character and cute noises! Would love to see this developed into a full app, looking forward to replaying and seeing all the different kitties

Super cute graphic and characters! Loved zippin around as the gnome. Puzzles were really well made and everything was fun to play. Lots of content and plays well. Great job!!

Definitely one of the most complete feeling games in the jam! Really addicting loop — kept saying "just one more upgrade" until I beat it haha Only critiques would be that there was no indication when you were hitting a stone you couldn't mine yet and I never had any incentive to buy torches because the headlamp was so good, so maybe headlamp upgrades instead. Either way, super fun to play!

Not sure if it was just my screen, but when I'd drawn a lot of cards they went out of view and couldn't be scrolled to/selected. Otherwise smooth play and beautiful art!

I love games like this and think this is a great foundation! Had some trouble picking up weights at first and did accidentally click ok on a dialog I didn't mean to, but everything else worked smoothly. Fun voice acting! Would love to see it expanded on.

Nice work on getting all this done with multiple endings and submitting so close to deadline!

I LOVE this idea and interpretation of the scale theme — I would totally play a full adventure with these two. Not sure how you have so few ratings, it's a real gem! Maybe if you had your characters front and center on your thumbnail (like the end screen with the gnome riding on his shoulder) since they're very charming.

Only suggestions would be to have it so the giant could maybe drop a waypoint or tap the ground or something similar, especially if you added more levels later with increasing difficulty. And to maybe speed up the zoom in and out slightly. Would be a fun concept for a two-player system as well.

Not sure what your plans are for it, but would love to see it continued! Great idea with so much charm.

Very smooth, great pixel work. Fun SFX too! Would love to see it where the enemies activate the trap doors as well so I can watch those lil skeletons fall into lava for once instead of me!

An amazing amount of work! Investigation-style games have always been my favorite and I think idea is fun and really well executed — with some cleaning up, more obvious discrepancies maybe, and more chapters this is totally a game I'd want in my collection. It's about time there were more fun and unique spins on the Observation Duty-style formula. Plus, it's cute and hilarious. Love it!

Clean, fun, great audio and visuals. Throw in some # variations and power-ups or things you can mis-click and think this could be a great app!Nice balance on time, felt the pressure but not panic.

This is a great note and something we can look into fixing so the rng is a little better for balance. Thanks for playing! 🐠

It's my own game and sometimes I still try to fish the snail to stop him from taunting me! Maybe we should add him as the topper in the future, haha! Thanks for playing 🐠
