Ok so... how do I start the boss fight? I made my way to the computer room, but I couldn't activate the computer, and shooting the beetle in the cage didn't do anything...
You should just activate the console in the computer room by standing in front of it. It will play some typing sound and then the console outside that room will activate and its screens will go blue. You then just walk up to that and it should start the boss fight.
Fun FPS with a boss. Making the melee attack a flyswatter was a fun detail. Flying enemies were tough!
The Level design was amazing that never a second came I did not know where to go, I wish there was an indication of the remaining health of the last boss I think it would have added some more fun to the epic last fight.
Thank you very much Ga-net, this means a lot and we are glad you loved the game.
Great game ! Congrates :D
Thanks onarateam. Thank you for playing our game and glad you enjoyed it.
First Entry I see on FPS genre, and 3D!I had lots of fun killing all the insects, my right-click aka fly swapper was very satisfying to use. Great difficulty balancing. the boss moment felt very epic thanks to the music. Amazing Job.
Recommended Game to play.
Great to hear Fennele. Glad you loved the epic ending so thanks so much for playing.
I like it!
It's fairly simple at the beginning. The flying bugs are a little hard to hit. But, the end is tremendously hard, or I don't understand how to play it.
But overall that's a nice first person shooter. Great job!
Thanks very much alextoma, glad you liked it.
Nice FPS game, I think only the render of the floor is good update if you have time later. other than that, the game is fun and interesting.
Damn! That fly swatter is the best weapon in the game, wish I found out earlier. It's a nice FPS but I'd rather have ammo pickups around the level then a handful of bullets from each enemy. I used to play Quake 1 and Counterstrike beta (and was very good at it) and I had some good fun with your entry.
Thanks MadMenyo, glad you had fun playing it.
this has to be the best FPS I've played from a game jam! great audio and graphics, it has a nice gameplay feel, good job!
Thanks very much BurnsBoy, as our first ever entry we are happy with the result but more importantly we are happy that everyone is loving playing the game.
Very solid FPS! It feels really satisfying to "kill them bugs"! *splat!*
Splat indeed !!! Thanks for playing.
Game feel is great, I love the sci-fi aesthetic, and I like how balanced the difficulty curve is.
Great that you loved the look of the game, Thanks so much for playing.
I think when one seeks to make a game like this the first question aside from "How good do the guns feel?" or "Are the impacts bloody enough?" you should ask yourself is "Is there a clear goal in this game?". The answer for Kill them Bugs is a resounding "Uh, yeah. Duh." As you move your way through the facility you kill them bugs, though in many situations for the amount of ammo they give you it's better to dodge them bugs. The last fight is pretty fun spawning numerous foes but I just wish that the final boss (won't spoil it here) had a little more focus on the main character like the other bugs. It felt tankier but less aggressive and dangerous than the swarm because of this. Also, speaking to clarity, might want the prompts to interact with computers by swiping your knife at them to be a little more clear, took me a bit to figure out, but that could just be because I'm not such an FPS aficionado. You've got droves of great movement though, I felt very deft which is the classic way to move in these pre cover quake like shooters.
Thank you for the feedback. We are happy that you liked playing the game.
