Really colorful, good graphics! It's a treat just to watch the robot move, his animation is so smooth! I like the concept of the combat system but am having trouble getting used to it.
Music - Fantastic!
really cool graphics reminded me of brian chippendale x chrono trigger
The walking animations of the box robot are just amazing. I probably spent like the first few minutes just walking around in the first area to see how you layered everything. Fun battle system but the evasion time could be slightly longer. I almost never managed to fully evade an attack. Either the monster got me in the beginning or in the end 😅
Wowowow the graphics. Very uniquely styled!
A few rough edges in gameplay but a fairly solid idea. Definitely looking to come back to finish later =)
Lovely characters and graphics! I love that super smooth animation of Box Bot and the atmosphere is really charming! Some stretches of path felt a bit arduous to cross back and forth and some bits of collision were difficult to navigate.
But overall, I really enjoyed playing and I'll have to revisit this after the jam, as I just couldn't make it south and back again without dying. (I found the enemy's attacks hard to predict and my rng seemed really bad XD I had so many encounters)
Great entry!
Nice graphics!
Getting through doors is so tricky that for a while I thought you just couldn't. The battles are a bit too unforgiving. It would be great to be able to see your stats on the pause menu.
Other than that, I love this game. The giant box bot sprite is super endearing. The idea of an RPG with action combat instead of turn based combat might make me play through an RPG for once. And in general the game has a friendly atmosphere.
I only had so much time to play the game while rating games for the jam, but I will be coming back to this one.
Cool design on the main character! Reminded me of the Iron Giant. Fun little game, nice work!
I'm honored to hear that comparison. The iron giant was my favorite movie.
the best looking game of the jam so far. I couldnt proceed much because I keep geting stuck on walls, though
even though it took me a while to figure out what to do in combat, it was still a ton of fun once i figured it out! had a very lovely time playing, and the scenery was just beautiful!! awesome job on the game, and thank you for sharing!!!!
Thank you for the kind words. And I'm glad you could adjust to the combat. The gameplay was definitely more experimental this time. So I'm glad it worked it for you.
Impressive graphics, congratulations for the work!
I tried to play it on my Game Boy DMG without success, even though it's a .gb file and not .gbc, it seemed strange, I don't know if you have an explanation for that?
Concerning the story, since I don't know English very well, I think I'm losing a good part of the interest of the title, but it's my fault, not yours :)
yeah I forgot to add a dmg lockout screen as for whatever reason the animation doesn't play nice with the older models. Otherwise if I knew some other languages then I would totally do a translation.
Translations are often complicated... Luckily I have someone to help me with my English translation :p
They definitely are, which is why I wish I knew how to translate. Ah well, maybe someday I'll have more than just me building entire games
Very saturated graphics, although it has a good design
Awesome game! Love character designs and animations. And art overall. This game is insanely pretty. The combat system is neat, and I would love to see something in this vein built and expanded upon. Great job!
thank you so much. I most certainly will expand on the idea once I finish up the other 2 projects I have. So glad to hear you enjoy it.
I like the smoothly animated animation of the protagonist, the battle system is easy to understand but also hard to master. Good job
thank you for the kind words. And especially for telling me that the battle system was playable. I was super unsure as I have never done any like this before.
These graphics are absolutely insane!
Thank you so much for that. I'm so happy to hear your thoughts on the game.
