- Firstly, the art in this game is adorable, and the concept is great. The issues I had with this game: -Z-ordering kept breaking. -Lacking an in game tutorial meant I had to go check the store page to learn I could dash. Teaching your players in game is essential if you want your player to have an enjoyable experience. -The dash sometimes caused me to get locked in place up against a wall and had to restart. Overall, Very cute and well thought out experience that would have been better with a little more player guidance.
- Congratulations on your completed entry into the Fireside's first ever Game Jam!
- I think the graphics were a very cute style. The music choices were ok for this feel of game. I will say that it took me several tries to figure out what exactly the actual actions and intentions for each were. I gave a low theme score as I don't really see it shining through. There was a nice difficulty level progression and addition of new features and mechanics. Good job.

This game was quite good! The art and the programing worked well, and I loved the character designs. The gameplay was fun, but I wish the mechanics had been explained a little better in the game as I had to go back to the itch page to read that I could dash once possessing a pot. I think a couple other little things I would change is making it so the music doesn't reset every scene, (this is fairly easy in unity, just use the DontDestroyOnLoad command and set the object up as a singleton) and I had a few issues with the z ordering where characters would overlap with certain objects in the wrong way (Again, pretty simple fix, just raise where the center of the sprite is) Overall, a really good and fun game, congrats!
Very good visuals and music, lots of character there. Well done puzzles too, but the mechanics could've been introduced more clearly, imo. Anyway, great submission.

This was great! Loved the possession mechanic. It reminded me of that old game on my N64 space station silicon valley where you have to take control of all the different creatures and they all have their own abilities to get through certain areas. There's a few areas of polish that would be nice (proper layering, not being able to place pots next to each other because you auto possess the other one, main character can sometimes have 0 hearts, pot attacks can be finicky, etc.) but overall I think there's a lot of potential here. There's not too much in the way of puzzles, feels more like a zelda type puzzle than a true puzzle game, and i don't think it needed any complex puzzles necessarily but the action is not super involved. I remember a lot of the fun of Space Station silicon valley was starting the game with a dead rat, then using that to attack a bigger animal and then using that animal to attack an even bigger one, and then just keep getting bigger until you're a polar bear with rocket arms.
Anyway, not saying you need to recreate an old game, but I think that would help with the hook of the game if you were looking for more of a direction to go and some brain storming. I love the possession mechanic and the art, music and menus in the game are a joy. Great job!
A good looking and engaging game, I got stuck on level 3. Might just be me been a while since I have played puzzle games. I really enjoyed the cartoony style and music and sounds the presentation was very nice.
Thanks for the feedback! There are two buttons on level three and one of them is among the pots. And you know, the goblin might be able to help push something.
It was really fun doing the music for this game! This was a really nice experience since this was the first game jam I've ever participated in. Also sorry if the sfx aren't great, this is the first time I've ever done sound effects lol.
Really enjoyed this. Movement felt ever so slightly janky, but not enough to detract from the game.
The puzzles were fun and the possession mechanic was really cool. I did not realize you could possess stuff after they die so the last level seemed impossible until I read Kokutouchichi's comment and decided to try again, so I'm not sure if that was a failure on my part or if the game could stand to communicate that better (looking back, I see your page says E to possess pots AND ENEMIES, but I'd have liked to see that made clearer in the game itself).
I'd love to see the possession mechanic expanded upon for more interesting puzzles, but understand time constraints in a jam mean you had to stick with the few and make them good. which you've done really well.
Also kudos to the sound and graphics people, the game looks and sounds really well.
a very AWESOME ! good looking game !
its so fun to play ! but honestly i got stuck at lvl 3, i didnt really know what to do, there is only 1 button i pressed it but nothing happened, maybe i missed something, and maybe the character is a bit too fast in my opinion, overall the game is Perfect ! and the idea is unique ! and the music is WAAAAY too good ! and the ghost animation and graphics around is so cool ! well done !
This was really fun and polished to play! I really liked the play on the theme of rejuvenation and how you have to kill the enemies first before you can overtake them. It took me a bunch of tries to get that damn rat to fall into the black...goo? tar? oil? On the second stage, but I liked the puzzle solving aspect of the game. I really wish there were more levels! I liked how each enemy had its own specialty as well. There were a few wonky bugs disappearing underneath bridges, disappearing underneath certain sprites etc, but those are minor bugs to what is an overall well thought out and executed game. Really great logo screen too! Wish I could have had some more SFX for the main character/enemies and I was a little unclear on the life system. Is the Bloo separate from the ghost Bloo as far as health goes? Or was that an unintented bug? Either way it doesn't take away from a really fun game.
