I like it. I liked that you grew plants. The art was great. The mechanic was great for the genre! It was relatively easy to start and learn due to the quick restart button.
Music would've added a lot! I personally don't like waiting, watching the day night cycle each time was hard. Maybe have it as a little panel as a indicator.

This is an interesting take on a theme in a form of a puzzle platformer, good job!
Very interesting concept! I like the idea of "planting" ahead.
A few issues/bugs I've found:
- Controls are not disabled during the day/night switch scene (someone else has already mentioned this)
- Double-clicking on a tile would consume 2 seeds (and triple-click would consume 3), which is probably not what you intended
Also here are the things I would prefer to see in the game:
- It would be great if we could rewind to the previous day, rather than having to restart the entire level when I realize that I forgot to plant a flower
- I'm not sure if you've implemented coyote time in the game but I didn't feel it. Failing a jump when I miss a platform by only a few pixels doesn't feel very good.
Anyways, Great Job! I look forward to a more polished version of this game!
Hey Jerry, thanks so more for your feedback!
These are all very valuable notes, and we'll take them all into consideration and think about these changes before a final release.
Our goal definitely isn't to make the player have any sort of frustrating experience (aside from trying to figure out the actual puzzles of course), so we will be working on how to better polish the player experience to have a more relaxed and enjoyable time.
Thanks so much for your support! We enjoyed your game as well. :)

Great graphics! I beat level 2, but then it went to level select screen and I couldn't get further. I must have did something wrong. Also, there was a glitch where the day would keep going after it was done, like I could keep controlling my character and I'd hear them run into the thorns and die during the cinematic. Cool, original concept overall, good job!
Thanks so much, we're glad you enjoyed it.
Sorry about you couldn't get further! Just to clarify, was it that you couldn't beat level 3, or was it that in the level select screen, it glitched and you couldn't even get to the next level? I'd love to know so we can figure it out and fix whatever it was.
Thanks for bringing up the bug with the movement during the cinematic, we'll be sure to fix that right up!
We loved your game as well, and we appreciate your support! :)

Great game, the game feels polished and is fun to play. I like the fact that you can actually plan ahead and use your powers to plant the flowers rather than playing the level multiple times. Even though the game was actually hard to understand initially, I could quite grasp the whole mechanic and the way to tackle the puzzle aspect of the game from Level 2. Finding out you can plant on thorns saved my life. You could have added some way to let the user know you can do it.
To be honest, I wouldn't change much from the game other than adding music and bit more thought on the level design. Some of the levels could easily be completed the short way. I don't think you intended the level to be that easy to solve. But that isn't an issue considering this was made for a 48-hour game jam. Overall, this is impressive, great effort and interesting use of mechanics. The art for the flower withering and wilting is amazing btw. Great Job!
thank you for the feedback! yeah, my biggest regret with the design was not teaching the player about placing flowers on thorns- our one (1) playtester didn't have trouble with it, so we just completely missed that design issue. we're planning on developing it out a bit further so there'll definitely be some explicit YOU CAN PLANT ON THORNS teaching moments, since that's been the most consistent piece of critique we've gotten. oh, and the levels that you can just sequence break- we forgot some thorn placements and that completely broke those levels!
but seriously, the compliments made my day. thank you for playing!

Very cool game, day time transition at the end of each level was super well done, would say the visuals were definitely the best part of this game. Lots of levels and game to play which is impressive for a two day jam. At first I thought the use of the theme was weak as you were actually just growing instead of decaying which is the opposite, then I realised the plants decay too which is a cool touch. Very good entry.
Thanks so much for playing our game! We're glad you enjoyed it and the visuals so much.
There are definitely concepts and mechanics that we could work on communicating more clearly, but I'm glad you were able to navigate it well enough to have a good experience.
Thanks for your feedback! We enjoyed your game a lot too :)

Very good game, interesting interpretation, I really liked it. Although it seemed to me that the transition between days within the level was a little too long, but this is a small thing that hardly affects the impression of the game
Thanks so much! We're glad you enjoyed it.
We definitely hear you about the transition being too long. We want to either make that faster, or give players the option to skip it by pressing a button. Because it does get a liiiiiittle tedious after the first few times seeing it.
Thanks for your feedback! We enjoyed your game as well. :)

a very nice concept,
I like the fact that the game makes you plan ahead, however I found it a bit frustrating that there is no way of knowing that some plants will be staying there longer than the others and I had to restart a couple of times because of that
the second half of the game is prone to sequence breaking I'm afraid (or at least I think so, I passed a few of the later levels with some seeds still left, and I passed level 7 without ever going to the right side), however, I don't really imagine the horror of designing puzzles for a jam game, and I gotta say, the first half is very solid
good job on this one!
thanks for the kind words! i was the puzzle designer for us and yeah, it was a terrible time trying to brainstorm that many puzzles, we totally could have gotten away with a few less- 8 was way too ambitious in hindsight. and then we ended up forgetting to put a single thorn block down which completely messed up level 7! lesson learned though, puzzle games are ROUGH for jams lol. but the need for a better tutorial and a bit more clarity on plant timers is noted, thank you for the feedback! we thought that the amount of leaves on the flowers would be enough, but better clarity on that front is top priority for future development

Pretty cool concept. The art was very cute! I think some music and a way to go back 1 step instead of resetting the whole level would've made it a fuller experience but for a jam game it was actually quite polished. Didn't beat every level but the solutions weren't that difficult so even for a non puzzle game player it was a blast! Good job on this!
Hm, I don't think I did level 7 the way it was intended. You can just jump from the flower at the spawn directly to the altar, and spend you one flower this stage to replace it. I didn't need to go to the right at all.
The puzzles are well designed, but I think there might be some solutions you missed, as I also beat level 8 with an extra flower unused.
You should also probably freeze the player movement during the day/night cycle cutscene.
At any rate, I enjoyed the puzzles, the day/night cycle animation was really cool, the character was cute, and all around this was a good time! Great work.
Thanks so much for your feedback, and for playing through our game!
There are definitely some solutions to the puzzles we unfortunately overlooked in the end, and would polish those up for sure before a full release.
We're glad you enjoyed the experience overall, and we'll be checking out your game soon as well ^_^
An interesting idea and combination of a puzzle and a platformer. In general, make more levels, add music and it will be a good game for release.
Prety fun puzzle game :3
When you finish a level it would be nice if it just opened the next level, and also if it didnt open the how to play screen.
I also think the second level could have been way better. It is ment to teach you that a plants can be planted on thorns, which wasnt obvious to me that you could do that, i figured it our relatively fast, because the level isnt that complicated, but the level should probably be simpler when you are trying to teach such a concept.
The day night animation could get a skip button, it gets old after a while.
I liked the graphics and sound effects were servisible, it was a nice experience ^-^
Ah good points!! We would definitely want to spend more time on level design for a future release, to make sure the mechanics are better communicated. Also, good point with skipping the day/night animation, I had the same feeling about it hahah
Thanks so much for playing through our game, and for your detailed feedback!! It's very appreciated, and we're glad you enjoyed the overall experience and the graphics!
We'll be playing through your game soon as well :)
I love the art style, and the concept of needing to predict and grow your platforms!
This one needs more ratings.
I was unable to get past level 2. Could you post a video of yourself doing the whole game so I can see the other levels you designed?
Great sound effects, but I feel like it should have some calm music.
The art style is very nice (I really like the background - that forest). It took me a bit to figure the game out, the tutorial should mention that I can hold "space" pressed (I only hit space once and did little jumps). Really cool mechanic although I hate myself when I misspace a plant and then have to go back to the main menu to replay the level - but I guess that's part of the challenge.
Ah good point with the jump mechanic in the tutorial! We'll make sure to include that in a future release.
Thanks so much for playing through our game and for your feedback! It's very much appreciated, and we're glad you enjoyed the art, and the overall experience. :)
We'll be playing through your game soon as well! Cheers
