Solid combat and inventory system. I wish I didn't have to walk all the way back just to buy better gear.

The theme was very creative, altough i dont know how it fits the theme of the jam...
Movement is quite nice. Bonus points for implementing button-hold for movement.

Don’t be focus on the theme, my main goal for participate of this jam was to made a dungeon crawler and develop the mechanics, so the theme is an add maybe an inspiration or not, and the interpretation of the theme in gamejam is always relative, duality is a theme really large, informatics system/game is always build with 0/1 duality after all.
To fit the theme, I had planned to use a small story about the duality of the two character but by lack of time, there is only the intro of the mission and the choose of the character about that. Maybe your imagination will be the rest ! After all it’s an RPG !

A solid entry, but the movement is too slow for the size of the dungeon, and the perspective makes navigation harder. At one point I encountered a bug that threw me off the grid.

The combat system is simple but effective, but I really wished for keyboard controls or an 'Auto' button.

Thanks for your review, yes you’re right about the fighting system, i’ve seen this kind of “option” on legacy dungeon crawler but i didn’t have the time to implement it, like the speed i think i can added a speed select option. i think it’s for my post jam version. About the movement out of grid bug i’ve already resolve it but i can’t update during the rating phase.

Really loved the visuals in this game! Excellent execution.

  • Combat system was solid
  • Movement was good, though slightly slow for my taste
  • Music was perfect for this game
  • Sound effects were satisfying and didn’t get old
  • Game eased you into the difficult

Overall a solid entry! Great work!

Really nice one, I was a bit disapointed when I received the call telling me that there's "nothing there" but it's honestly a pretty engaging start. Really liked how you prioritized having a working inventory and combat system over all else, it makes your entry one of the most pleasant to play.

Developer

Thanks for your comment, yes i tried to include all the interface and battle system and i’m perfectionnist so i passed many days only on the different interface, i haven’t time at the end to correctly develop story, evoluate dialogs system. But i appreciate you notice it and like you said it’s a good start for continuing the adventure of dungeon crawling developpement.

Most likely a problem on my end, but I'm not getting the audio.

Graphics look fantastic! Love the portraits.

I was enjoying this game a lot, I had a ton of credits and was heading back to the shop when I ended up off the grid somehow which is unfortunate as I couldn't progress.

Music and visuals are really nice and evoke that "Cyberpunk" vibe you're going for, and I definitely think I rolled a good character because one of my characters had a very short attack timeout and I was destroying most of the enemies haha

Really nice entry! Good job!

Thanks i appreciated your opinion, i had think i have corrected this movement problem ! i need to investigate on it after the voting duration, everyone don’t have it but it appears sometimes and i don’t know why ! Maybe is only present on HTML5 version have you tried the windows version ?

Very nice graphics and atmospheric and fitting music.

I am impressed that you managed to put in such a well put together inventory system.

I was a little bit disoriented without a compass but at least there was a map.

The perspective could've been improved a little bit. The player can't see parts of the floor and corners on the current tile and that makes orientation a little bit more difficult. This can be solved by pulling the camera back a little bit or by increasing the FOV slightly.

  • +1 for shop!
  • +1 for really nice and matching project page

Well done!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback, yes i’ve passed a lot of time on the interface, and i’m lack of time for the rest but that was the challenge !

I had to check it out when I saw there's another cyberpunk submission to the jam! It looks pretty cool.

One major flaw - it's easy to hit "n" instead of "m" when trying to see the map. Combined with not having a pop-up to confirm you really want to restart, I lost all my progress because I slipped and hit the wrong key ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Developer(+1)

I hope you appreciated my cyberpunk entry ! Oh i’m sorry for that ! It’s because i’m french, and the “N” is really far of the “M” on my keyboard i don’t think about the “N” and “M” proximity on english/QWARTY keyboard, i will not make the same mistake next time ! (i’ve change it for “Y”).

Oh I see! I didn't think of that. I don't know anything about other keyboard layouts myself, I've probably done the same thing in my games.

My direction eventually gets deviated from the grid to the point the grid is not navigable anymore (only after taking the teleporter?). If you think it has anything to do with player input or have an idea of how to prevent this while playing I'll gladly get back to the game.

Rolling stats, yeah! The inventory system is good, and your game has illusionary walls which is a plus, a map you can buy too.

Thanks for your feedback, i saw this problem in my playtest session and i think i’ve corrected it, but apparently not ^^,i modified the position calcul for the movement i think it’s ok now. I can’t made update in gamejam duration (it’s a gamejam restriction), i tried it and delete my game file to reupload with minor correction on the movement like you said and i realised i can’t upload file, but its fix now.

I'm very glad that you managed to get your entry back in.
