The project is nice :)

There is quite a bit of work and everything works well.

The combat system is quite confusing and could use a little polish, I felt like I was dropped in the middle of a game. I think you should remove the camera movement when selecting the target which makes it complicated, and maybe add some feedbacks : I had trouble distinguishing between enemy and allied attacks, and I had trouble noticing when I was hit by an enemy.

Anyway, well done !

Interesting use of RPG Maker, kudos for that! Decent gameplay as well.

Exiting Options Menu crashes game :) First impression quite good! Need to play more to rate

It felt a little disjointed to me (though I suspect there's genre stuff here I'm not familiar with) but I liked the art style and there's certainly plenty of game here for a 7 day jam. Good work.

It's weird, I can only see the ceiling.

What happens is that whenever I enter the dungeon then the field of view immediately turns from the wall up to the ceiling.

Turning around turns the field of view around the z-axis (I think the actual direction of movement, is correctly changed), I can really only see the ceiling and nothing else.

Do you think there's anything I can do?

It should not be able to do that at all. Is there any other steps leading up to that you're leaving out (or are you sure you commented on the right game)?

I used the ceiling texture for the page background; if you're not seeing that then it's a wall.

Also, pressing down doesn't turn, it just moves back (I can add that, though either are common)

Thanks for your help.

What happens is that as I enter the dungeon the view seems to turns up from this : https://img.itch.zone/aW1nLzU2NDcyNjIucG5n/original/Hdtmgu.png

to this (and then stays this way) : https://img.itch.zone/aW1nLzU2NDcyNjkucG5n/original/f%2BKucB.png

Turning left or right gives this : https://img.itch.zone/aW1nLzU2NDcyNzUucG5n/original/pQTz9M.png

EDIT : replaced the images with link.

Yeah, it should not be able to do that. Do you know your version of Windows and your graphics card? I'm not sure if I can do much on my end, but I'll still try to look into it. The only thing I can think of is maybe there's something going on with the rendering (MV isn't really build for 3D so I wouldn't be surprised)

No problem, don't worry, I asked just in case I was obviously doing something wrong and/or there was some obvious thing I could do but it's probably the old rig indeed, no need to dig further (for the record I'm using Windows 7 and my graphics cars is a both old and poor NVIDIA Geforce 405). .

Interesting attempt to wedge an RPG maker game into this jam.

The combat isn't half-bad and I like the monster capture mechanic, but the game offers little else and doesn't spark joy when it comes to dungeon design.
