Just saw the results and this game looks very familiar to another game I have seen in a different jam. Was this made for this jam or is there a common template that people are starting from?

How cool! I really like Metroids, and this could easily be one of them, but with the difference of the continuous loop mechanic, it's very interesting and fun! :D

The art is perfect for the retro style, and the music is incredible and very exciting.

It's a really complete game. The map design is very fun and never loses its rhythm.

I loved it, excellent work! :D

While short, this game is absolutely fantastic. The level design is great, and I'd love to see an expanded version of this concept someday - maybe each new area you enter has its own hourglass to break? However you decide to proceed with this, even just the jam version is incredible.

It looks interesting, but it's like you can't play on the keyboard at all.

The graphics are cool, as are the sounds

This is such a good homage to the NES era with the graphics, audio design, and everything. The concept is also unique and fun, it really keeps you on edge but also allows gives you enough time and leeway to really master the game towards the end. Impressive job!

You mixed Metroid with Minit? Well, I must say, I like the idea!

The controls are a little weird, and I think the mapping in your description doesn't fit with the actual game (took me a while to find out Z was for restart). I like the potential idea of the game, but I think right now the level design is lacking a little bit. Maybe having more branching paths early and some items that needs to be brought from one place to the other like in Minit would be interesting.

All in all, good game! I enjoyed the idea a lot!

Really fun, I really enjoyed dashing, but sadly then the game was almost over :(

Wow!! So polished for a jam game and a really nice idea! Maybe a bit weak on the jam theming but otherwise gets 5 stars across the board from me. I would love to see this concept as a fuller game, since I have enjoyed similar games in the past (Minit, Half Minute Hero)

This game was SO FUN to play!!! I was hooked on the time loops from the very start! I used a controller to play as suggested and found it very comfortable! I also really liked having to figure out what route I should take and how to explore the area with the new abilities. the backgrounds and the art in general were amazing! I really got awestruck by the pixel art in the last area before the boss. Fun fun stuff!! Great job :D

I absolutely LOVED this tiny Metroidvania! The graphics, sound effects, and music were all on point with classic NES games, and the whole package felt like a love letter to the original Metroid and the early Mega Man games! Fantastic job! :D

AYO! this is the best one I've played thus far! can't believe you made a whole metroidvania in the required time! few times I have no complaints with a game! really reminds me of Minit! love it!

This is amazing! I've spent way too much time playing this and will most likely come back to play more.

Awwwwwwwesome! You really captured the NES look and feel. And the time loop mechanic is just brilliant.

Playing thru a second time, I notice you added an option to reset the save state. In a jam game? That is really above and beyond, hats off to you sir.

I love retro games, so you taking advantage of this weakness of mine should be illegal !!!

Great game, insane level design, music and visuals are incredible and the idea of combining a metroidvania game with a time mechanic ? That's GENIUS  !

Oh wow this is a blast! It's minit with metroid aesthetics. I had so much fun playing it, and everything is super well made. Aside from some wall jumping troubles, everything was perfect. Level design was on point. Great job!!!

THIS GAME IS AMAZING!! I love this mini-metroidvania with metroid aesthetics. But please, PUT THE RETRO BOOST FROM THE BEGINING!! IT LOOKS FUCKING SICK WITH IT!!

Developer

Thanks! I think I'll add the Konami Code as a way to unlock it early :D
