Solid game with a different view on the theme and I love the gameplay and mechanic and the movement of all of it, wish the controls and response with a little better but 10/10 solid.

The mechanics are pretty fun and unique; the grappling system is especially quite satisfying. I also liked the choice of adding branching paths; it provided non-linearity to the game. It might be a skill issue, but I think the game could benefit from shops being placed at specific levels to provide more strategic depth and consistency in upgrading.  Overall, it's a great game that provides a unique experience :)

You really gave me the time of day and set me up with objective feedback after playing through my game and I appreciate it! I'm here to return the same :) Great job overall and I actually do think this is worth a revisit from you to add more features or do the quality of life stuff you mentioned you ran out of time for, Rudderless was fun.
The Good:

- Level system is fun and the branching path is super neat, I'm considering using something like this for future projects.

-Auto shoot combined with the duck and dive of grappling is sort of addicting

-Music is quality from the start of the menu.

Things I'd wish for if I played regularly:

-I think grappling is great, and I found myself using the WASD controls less and less. I think doubling down with grappling controls and dropping all other movement control elsewise would be something to consider maybe.

-Enemies got really tanky really fast, and I wanted to somehow find health but couldn't.

Really cool take on the theme. Grappling mechanic was really fun, just wish I had better control over the shooting. It was really cool to zip around and grapple! Keep it up!

This could become something I'd actually spend money on if it had more content and stuff, but for in a week this is very good imo. Music was a little too loud but I just turned the volume down so I didn't really mind lol. One other thing was that it felt like when releasing lmb I wasn't going towards the direction I was expecting to go, but that might just be me. Very good job nontheless.

Very nice kinetic gameplay! Was a difficult to align the ship and the bullets would often miss, but the grappling hook mechanic is really well thought out and movement feels tight!

There's a lot of content here! Super fun and unique gameplay loop. I discovered I could move a little with WASD and boost after a few rounds, would have liked to seen those controls introduced like how the mouse was introduced. Overall great work!

Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately the jam page doesn't contain the description, which has the controls listed. That's on me, I didn't realize until after I submitted! I'm glad you enjoyed!

Great theme interpretation and a fun vibe, but with the auto-shooting it can feel like you don't have enough control over what's happening. Grappling is fun though.

This is actually really cool! The shooting mechanic was a bit hard to understand at first, but after a while I got it and it was just smooth sailing (pun intended) forward.
