I really like the visuals, the game was quite hard, I saw no real strategy for getting past the beginning enemies especially, It did feel a little unfair. But I do like the presentation and the direction you're going!
The difficulty is too high, especially at the beginning, which can be quite challenging for new players. It might be helpful to adjust the initial difficulty to make the game more accessible and enjoyable from the start.
On a positive note, I really like the visuals. The graphics are great and add a lot to the overall experience :)
Defeated Golomb! ..twice. the mushroom guy congratulated, while two red slime obliterates me.
I couldn't figure out how to deal with boss's attacks, so I attack him from outside of the arena.
Anyway nice visuals & soundtrack! I'm really fan of adaptive soundtrack. this game can be improved so much more.
The presentation is there but the gameplay could use a bit more. Sick backdrop btw
Very nice presentation, but also very difficult. The enemy bullets are very fast considering how close you have to get to them. Also, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but groups of enemies respawn immediately once you clear them, which is an odd behavior that makes shooting them feel pointless.
Regardless, the key art and presentation are really well done, the visuals are clear and readable, and there's nice implementation of quality-of-life features like pausing and settings, which I'll admit I've neglected in most of my jam games in the past.
