How does you game fit the theme?
A fancy cat named Reginald explores a "cryptid" filled state park in a nonexistant town in Michigan while questioning his sanity over something that may or may not be real while consantly interacting with things that are and should be, probably aren't , but are and aren't real.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Everything is made from scratch except for a single sound being used under the "Attribution 3.0" license which is the sound of a rain storm. All art, music, writing and code is by me using the Bitsy game engine by Adam Le Doux

The graphics were very nice. I didn't like how much dialogue there was, though that is probably just me.

The art and color choice are very nice together! It was cool how panels showed up similar to a comic book.

Love the minimalistic graphics!

Absolutely delightful, graphics, rain sounds, and all. Great job!

The pixel art and palettes are pretty effective for how simple they are.

I love the aesthetic, its really unique and the attention to detail is great. It's awesome how you are able to make such interesting visuals using limited colors. The text effects are also great, kinda reminds me of Undertale, and I am a fan of the writing. Overall, this was a very nice experience, great work!

I would just like to have gameplay sometime and not endless text, a way of skiping them would fix them. Overall, the graphic are very unique and the experience very interesting

Really cool game! Your graphics were fantastic, I thought the style was really cool! I also liked the changes in music, and more SFX would definitely boost the experience. I also thought at times it was hard to tell what certain characters were because of the art style like the first character you talked to, and the character whose key you find at the entrance to the maze. Also, it would be cool after going through a character’s dialogue if when you approached them again it would be a short 1-2 sentence reminder instead of repeating. Thought it was excellent though, well done!

Very atmospheric. Love this simple yet effective art style!

Thank you! It's a very fun limited creative choice way of making games and I find it's such a powerful tool for creative vision, I absolutely recommend it to everyone!

Really love the art direction for this one! The little animations give a lot of life to the world.

Developer

Thank you thank you! I'm so grateful someone likes the animations, I was so unsure if I was over doing it so I tried dialing back a lot, I'm sure it's a real touch and go basis across the piece xD But thank you so much!

Nice game! I appreciate the art style with just three colors per room!

Developer

Thank you! It's a fun part of the design! Adding more was a consideration through a bitsy-hack but was some major scope creep levels of "I shouldn't" xD Perhaps in the future!

Wow what the hell are the odds that I've bumped into you in two different game jams?

I was huge of fan of Little Rock, MI and I'm just blown away by all the charming little details in this game all over again.

I loved the text effects.

I loved how cold the world felt when you left a room.

Great Job again. I'm glad you didn't get hit by a car and die.

Ayyyy! I remember your game, it was so radical! Litterally I messed around in your old game jam more than anyone elses, I really liked the concept and it inspired me to keep going on game dev xD. I'm really glad you liked it and darn I wish I had had more time to fill it with more details and weird little cryptids for ya to find. <3 Also thank you for the kind words, just got my car fixed up only to find more issues cause lifeee xD

I really liked this game! It had a really unique story!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed my "unique" style of story telling xD

The storm ambiance is AMAZING! So relaxing! I'll be honest, this is not my type of game, but it is so well done! I wish the graphics were easier to read. (I have no clue what most of the images represent, so tracking if something was a character and knowing who was speaking was difficult.) Nice work!

Thank you! Also totally something to consider, thank you again, I already want to work on another game in the style but see if I can make a very clean representation of a world with my little 8x8 tiles.

Like the Game a Lot - some Items are not 100% to identify but thats Pixelart on this low res.

Very well made!

Developer

Thank you so much! Also yeah I get that, it's a trade off I was willing to take but also was ridculed by a friend for on some items xD
