How does you game fit the theme?
This was my very first game jam and I'm quite proud with how much I learned making Pimenton. The theme was inspired by the film Paprika (which had a lot of dream scenes and surreal scenes of the world falling apart that created a lot of uncertainty of what was real) and so I tried to capture that feeling a bit through a game where the levels end up being fake and falling apart. Hope you enjoy!

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I watched a lot of unity tutorials and followed a lot of them for how to write code, but everything was made from scratch. I also used FEEL by More Mountains, which I own from the Unity store. The art and audio are all made from scratch.

Awesome stuff, I just finished it. I like the game and the style and everything, quite creative and fun. One thing though uhm… Is it just me or is it whenever the character talks it has a different background noise pitch, idk LMAO but well done regardless :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Haha yea I set it up so the pitch would be randomized between a range when he gets hurt. Give it a little variety.

Great work!

Finishing a game in a week is a great achievement on his own. But if you just learned to code then even more.

I'm not a fan of platformers, but I can see polish and iteration here. I like that you don't start from scratch when you lose, the fun, the humor, and the sound. Everything feels good.

Congrats!

Great work, I liked the wild colors/art, and the destruction of the levels -- and your execution of that idea -- was probably my favorite part.  Nice job!

The game is really well done, I really liked it,  the art is really nice and the concept is great! I really liked the SFX

Great job!

really well done lacks a bit of music tho

Whoa this game is amazing!! It was very trippy but fun and challenging!! I did miss a bit of music, but I understand that the time was super short!

Amazing work!!!

Concept: Fantastic. Graphics: Great. Gameplay: RAD. This was awesome yo! I've been thinking about these kinda meta games and how to handle them and I REALLY liked your interpretation. Genuinely, would love to see some more of this game developed yo!

the idea is nice and so is the art, mby the colors could be more complimentary and some music in the background, but other than that nice

Cool game! The audio was super weird, but it fit and made me like it more. The visuals were a little overwhelming at times with the crazy color pallet, but again, that fit the vibe. My biggest feedback would be have the dialogue up for longer, I missed some cause they faded pretty quick. Great job, especially for your first game jam!

What a game! it was super fun. The graphics, game design and the idea was awesome. Great job :D

Awesome game! The way that the whole game becomes even more chaotic on every next level feels very well implemented. The only thing that was a bit too much for me, was the background - as it was just a bit too tacky. Otherwise, I really had fun playing this one!

Fun game, made me curse, made me laugh and made me have a genuinely good time :) (that is, after I got past to the nightmare that is the wall jumpoing part)

good

Funny game! I like the cute art style and animations. The game is pretty confusing, but makes it quite fun to solve. The audio was hilarious, but it does lack some music. Great job!

Very well done on your first game jam. This game had a lot of personality and was more interesting than most platformers. Falling through the level while it breaks down felt very surreal. I also liked the simple but fun levels, where you had feel for the collision. Great job!

Clearly a lot of effort was put into the game. Into the art direction, into the level design. And more importantly, I really liked that you mentioned where you learned and their youtube channels.

Great work.

I found the wall jump to be pretty hard and the mechanic could use a bit of work to make it a bit more intuitive. That aside the theme was very cool and I loved the art direction you took on this - it looked great and it was fun to play. Cute sound effects to boot. Great effort.
