How does you game fit the theme?
At first sight, it appears to be a fake game. However, if you take a closer look, you'll see that the initial text is actually lying!

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Code and icons by me, Winos, also known as Johnny Connor when my main nick is already in use.
Font by Petyka (Dafont.com).
Music by David Fesliyan.
Sound Effects by Juhani Junkala.

Fun little game. Took me a while how to understand it, but well done!

Developer

Thank you! If I ever update this game (I don't like updating jam games, kinda breaks their purpose), I will add a pop up showing what you have to do.

Hmm, nice idea. Sound a little loud.

Developer

Thank for playing my game and for the feedback! I will probably save some time to add an audio menu in my next jam game.

5528, I can feel proud of myself 😎. Simple, clean and fun game.

Developer

Indeed, you scored quite high! I'm glad you liked the game!

Alright that was unique experience for this jam, well done. I like the black and white theme for this type of games, good choice

Developer

Thank you for the review! Your game was really unique too!

Nice.

I'm glad you liked it!

That was a ton of fun! I kept dying because I was trying to read the words instead of moving around to avoid them :-)

(BTW if you are on a Mac, it won't run on Safari, but it will run on Vivaldi just fine).

Developer

Thank you for playing my game!

The not knowing what to do at first complaint is somewhat common. Even though it is easy to learn after a few tries, now I wish I had added a simple pop up animation showing what to do!

As for the Browser bug, I think it's a Unity's WebGL bug, I will search about it later. Thank you for reporting it!

Fun!!!!!!! Great idea

I'm glad you liked it, thanks!

The first game so far that made me laugh.

Simple and fun. Congrats! :)

Made it to 6600.

Some comments in case you want to keep working on it.

1) Replaying is not as fun as the first time, specially at first.

2) I found myself keeping the cursor always on the same position and moving the minimum. Maybe this is how I played it, but there's no incentive to move around a bit, which could lead to interest decisions.

Congrats again, and thanks for the detailed feedback you left on my game <3

Developer

Thank you for the detailed review as well! Also, only you and another commenter here have scored that high as far as I know, so congratulations!

As for the minimum movement issue, at first I intended to make, besides the power up, dodging patterns, but I had to reduce the scope because, unfortunately, I was running out of time!

The game was very fun! Congrats!

I just rated your game, maybe you can do the same on mine ^_^

simple but fun.  I made it to 6600. but the music at the beginning scared me lol, it was sudden.

Developer(+1)

Wow, you've beat all of my friends on this! Nice skills!

Also, sorry that "jump scare", I should have added a volume configuration...

A simple game to be this fun I didn't know it could be! I love minimalist games with interesting ideas. Adding the creators name as a perk to collect, and the game vibe as a theme.  I loved it. I died at 4.056 I wonder how much you pulled it off?

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I too always loved the idea of making simple things fun with creativity. Games like Flappy Bird or Stack (Ketchapp) always amazed me.

My record was 5.300 by the way!

A very nice and simple game! The music is a literal bop and I enjoyed jamming out to it as I was dodging the many different obstacles thrown towards me.

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Fesliyan's songs are really awesome indeed!

Took me a bit to understand what I'm actually doing so maybe a visual would have been nice.

but actually believed the game was buggy and unfinished 😂

Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! If I happen to create a expanded version of this game later, I'll add an advice animation before the actual game starts!

Great game! Everything feels polished, and the game is very fun. Amazing job!

Developer

Thank you! I enjoyed playing your game too!

I made it to 3374 after having some trouble figuring out what makes you "lose". I like the feel of the game, the soundtrack is satisfying and the core game loop is simple, but engaging.

I would've added an animation when you get "hit" to make sure the player understands why he lost. I kept trying to click the text, instead of doing what I'm supposed to do (I won't give it away in case the player is meant to figure it out by himself.)

Cool project, I had fun.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I had a friend who also tried to click in the words before realizing it. If I ever create a expanded version of this game, I'll make sure to add a little advice animation before the the actual game starts!
