How does you game fit the theme?
It is about a dream of a boy who struggle with math and art in school.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No, I used free asset from Unity Asset store

Really cool art style! I loved the mix between the hand drawn backgrounds and more cartoony character. The audio also really made it feel like I was traversing through a weird dreamscape. Congrats on the first gamejam submission!
I cant play the game :( i got to the blue part and them im falling all the time down and cant get further.
I really like the art style! The music is super nice too! I just had some trouble with the platforms, because I didn't know where their edge properly was . And I also think that when you fall you should have a faster way to get up again. The mini platforms were super far away from where I fell. But that's very good for a first game! Keep up the great work! ^^
I like the hand-drawn background. It adds a lot of charm and reinforces the dream setting.
The character's movement speed made running around collecting coins a little tedious. The fact that you have to run around the same area several times didn't help.
After a while, the framerate started to get worse and worse. I think this is because the cannonballs weren't despawning.
After getting both sets of special coins, I fell in the hole in the bottom and the screen went black. It didn't seem like I could do anything else, so I closed the game. I assume this was a bug, because your screenshots show more of the game that I wasn't able to see.
Congrats on your first game jam!
This is a pretty awesome effort for a first game. Nice job!
How the cannonballs gently bump into the character is quite fun to me. The graphics are cool and the music fits well. After collecting lots of gold coins, suddenly having to collect silver coins instead felt a bit harsh (why did I collect those gold coins?!). Some of the silver coins were out of reach (am I supposed to climb on a cannonball for the one on the top right?), and having already explored the level to get the gold coins, collecting them felt a bit grindy.
Overall, really nice game, thanks for creating it!
Feel like the background and music went together but the character kinda felt out of place, might just be an asset thing tho, good job either way.
The kid's marker drawing background is definitely the highlight here. Not being able to tell where the edges of platforms were is a real problem, though. I also had trouble navigating--the backgrounds and such seem like they loop, which made it hard for me to tell if the map was looping or if I was entering new areas.
the art is really good and music was really good , missed a pick up sound for collecting coins. not sure what the coins did. The controls and jump felt good for the game good job.
don't forget game when you get a chance.

Really nice game. I found that, even though i really like it, the art style made it a little unclear of the boundaries of platforms so found it a little frustrating colliding into an edge I didn't see, but overall this was good.
This is an awesome entry for a first game jam. I loved the soundtracks chosen and the artwork blended well with the 2d platforming. The toad level was a little unforgiving tho. With the character dying in one hit and numerous large toads in the caves in your way it took many tries to dodge and weave through them. Also in the first level there was an NPC that helped you find the scientist but asked you to report back more information. While I found the scientist his dialogue options didn't change so I could not help him escape the level :(. Aside from that, I found the game engaging from the art to the lighting effects. Well done!
