When I play your game it says that I need to install microsoft visual c++ and directx runtime, but I don't think that I'm gonna install it just to play this game😌
It's just my opinion, but I think for a 2d pixel game, you don't need the unreal engine's horse power.. which made the game size is quite big & overcomplicate things a bit (at least for me to play). There are pretty much other options available to make this type of game, and I don't think unreal is fit for that..
Sorry but I can't rate your game since I can't play it 😅
also don't take my suggestion to serious, if you really love unreal and comfortable with it then just keep using it and ignore what I said ;)
Why the download size is that big 🥲. The graphics is good, but I find no reason to make the player as a simple cube. I mean the background is great and I love it, but why the character is still a cube 🙃
Also the cover image could be improved I guess.. you can just take a screenshot inside the game, edit it a bit, and then put it as the cover instead. I suspect it'll bring more eyes to the game!
Overall great job!
Cool graphics and sfx! I'm a big fan of sci-fi themed stuff 😙
The thing that I think could be improved is the aiming control. I don't know, but I think it doesn't feel that responsive for some reason.. Personally I prefer the aiming to be reversed (just like the slingshot works). But yeah, it's just an suggestion after all..
Kinda cool!
Hi! Never thought to make a game where "a button" as the playable character 😆
I think the file size is a bit too large and can be decreased somehow. Also consider making a browser version so it's more accessible, I'm also using godot and found that exporting to web version is ridiculously simple! There's a youtube tutorial by BornCG about that. Go give it a watch!
btw cool theme implementation!
I kinda like the graphics and sfx, and also that "sacred" tree 😅. I was playing it without that tree thing and found a bug at 6th wave. I had 2 villagers at the time and there was also 2 enemies. My villagers died and left with one enemy, but then he was just staring there for no reason 🥲
Also I think the ESC button to restart the game was a bit odd decision, since if I at full screen, the key is bound with "exit full screen" functionality, so I need to exit my fullscreen to restart the game.
btw u're using godot, right? 🧐
Cool game! The graphics and sounds are just awesome! For some reason I just don't really know how to dodge all the ghosts tho (even after blinking, there's still pretty much ghosts chasing me and just pretty hard to kill). Anyway, that just my opinion and idk if there's a way to dodge all the enemies (if there's a way, pls tell me :D)
Btw great work!
ikr it's pretty odd (I do realise it). But at least I've tried to implement it to a game and pretty happy with the result :)
I made it that way cuz I just want the player to know how to play the game (and do some practice) even before the game start (I know it looks like an excuse, but that was really what I thought)
Anyway, thanks for playing and also for your feedback!
Hmm I've never using unity before. I've search on google and found some with similar issue like yours, like https://answers.unity.com/questions/1599816/getting-rid-of-2d-collision-jitter.h... and https://gamedev.stackexchange.com/questions/185533/jittery-collisions-in-unity-2...
Both discuss about the same topic, you can read them and compare them with your own code. If it not work, you can just watch some youtube tutorials (unity has much about it) and try to rework the project.
A thing to remember is don't do it in rash, or else you'll get nothing. Keep calm and enjoy the process 😉
